Journal ArticleDOI

Muricauda maritima sp. nov., Muricauda aequoris sp. nov. and Muricauda oceanensis sp. nov., three marine bacteria isolated from seawater

TL;DR: Three Gram-stain-negative, non-motile, rod-shaped strains, designated 72T, NH166T and 40DY170T, were isolated from seawater samples of the West Pacific ocean, South China Sea and West Pacific Ocean and indicated that three new isolates represented three novel species by forming two distinctive lineages within the genus Muricauda.
Journal ArticleDOI

Oceanirhabdus sediminicola gen. nov., sp. nov., an anaerobic bacterium isolated from sea sediment.

TL;DR: On the basis of phenotypic, genotypic and chemotaxonomic properties, strain NH-JN4(T) represents a novel species of a new genus in the family Clostridiaceae, for which the name Oceanirhabdus sediminicola gen. nov., sp.
Journal ArticleDOI

PoMet3 and PoMet14 associated with sulfate assimilation are essential for conidiogenesis and pathogenicity in Pyricularia oryzae

TL;DR: This study explored the biological functions of sulfur assimilation and sulphur-containing amino acids biosynthesis in P. oryzae and found that the defects of the null mutants could be restored by supplementing with exogenous cysteine or methionine.
Journal ArticleDOI

Isolation and functional expression of the bop gene from Halobiforma lacisalsi.

TL;DR: The complete sequence of the bop gene, including the 5' and 3' flanking regions of the conserved fragment, was obtained by the ligation-mediated PCR amplification (LPA) approach, providing further insight into the distribution of bop-like genes in the family Halobacteriaceae.
Journal ArticleDOI

Chemical Oxygen Demand Removal in Na2SO4 Saturated Wastewater by Cultivable Halotolerant Bacterial Community

TL;DR: The present aerobic cultivable halotolerant bacterial community was successfully applied to large scale removal of organic pollutants in saline wastewater and maintained a stable COD removal at >90% in saturated concentration for 5 years.
