Journal ArticleDOI

Polystyrene-supported hydroxyproline: an insoluble, recyclable organocatalyst for the asymmetric aldol reaction in water

TL;DR: 4-Hhydroxyproline has been anchored to a polystyrene resin through click chemistry, and the resulting catalyst has been successfully applied to the direct aldol reaction in water.
Journal ArticleDOI

A highly active catalyst for Huisgen 1,3-dipolar cycloadditions based on the tris(triazolyl)methanol-Cu(I) structure.

TL;DR: Low catalyst loadings, short reaction times at room temperature, and compatibility with free amino groups make 3.CuCl an outstanding catalyst for CuAAC.
Journal ArticleDOI

Toward an Artificial Aldolase

TL;DR: A new functional polymer where proline is bonded to polystyrene through a 1,2,3-triazole linker depicts characteristics targeted for an artificial aldolase, where the resin swells in water with building of an aqueous microenvironment.
Journal ArticleDOI

Highly enantioselective Michael additions in water catalyzed by a PS-supported pyrrolidine.

TL;DR: The development of a highly efficient, polymer-supported organocatalyst for the addition of ketones to nitroolefins is described, and a 1,2,3-triazole ring plays the double role of grafting the chiral pyrrolidine monomer onto the polystyrene backbone and of providing a structural element key to high catalytic activity and enantioselectivity.
