Heterocyclic synthesis containing bridgehead nitrogen atom: Synthesis of 3-[(2H)-2-oxobenzo[b]pyran-3-yl]-s-triazolo[3,4-b]-1,3,4-thiadiazine and thiazole derivatives

TL;DR: In this article, the synthesis of 2H-2-oxobenzo[b]pyran-3-hydrazide with carbon disulfide in basic DMF afforded potassium thiocarbamate 3, which readily underwent heterocyclization upon its reaction with hydrazine and/or phenacyl bromide to yield 1,2,4-tiazole (4) and thiazole 7 derivatives, respectively.

Synthesis of new pyridazin- 6-ones, pyridazin-6-imines, 4-pyridazinals, and pyridines

TL;DR: In this paper, 3-dimethyl-1]-3-methyl-(4H)-5-phenylimidazol[2,1-b]thiazol-2-yl]prop-2enone couples smoothly with benzenediazonium chloride to yield propanal 5 which is a key intermediate for the synthesis of pyridazinones 9−13, 16 and pyridine-6-imine 8, 19.

TL;DR: A series of novel 3,3′-bi-1,2,4-triazolo[4,5a]benzimidazole derivatives were synthesized via the reaction of bis-hydrazonoyl chlorides with 2-methylthiobenzimidrazole and with benzimidiazol-2-thiol, respectively as discussed by the authors.

Fused Polyaza-heterocycles and 1,3,4-Thiadiazoles via A Tricyano Synthon

TL;DR: In this paper, 2-cyano-3-phenyl-2-pentenedinitrile with phenylisothiocyanate gave a tricyano-thiole derivative which on treatment with hydrazonoyl chlorides and 1-(benzothiazol-2]-2-yl)-2-bromoethanone furnished 1,3,4thiadiazole and thiazole derivatives, respectively.
