Man's Search for Meaning: An Introduction to Logotherapy.

Early motherhood may develop various stresses for the teen mothers and have adverse consequences. Current research aims at exploring experiences of teen mothers with stress and stressors of early motherhood. This qualitative study was conducted using conventional content analysis through in-depth semistructured interview. Eighteen Iranian teen mothers, who experienced parenting stress, with maximum variation in the age of first pregnancy, child's age, place of residence, and financial condition took part in this research. Data collection continued until saturation and were analyzed using MAXQDA10 software. Data analysis led to extraction of five categories including "storm of anxiety," "wander identity," "an unaccompanied way," "unarmed combat," and "a tired body." Teen mothers experienced tensions such as fear and worry, isolation and loneliness, regret, shame, depression, and doubt. These tensions originated from identity conflicts, inadequate social support, role inefficiencies, physical problems, and responsibilities. Teen mothers are influenced by various physical, psychological, social, and economic stressors which are in relation with the teenage, motherhood role, and the environment. Nurses are the major source of support for the teen mothers. Nurses should identify stress and stressors in teen mothers and strengthen well-being feeling in the teen mothers and their children through care, educational, consultative, and coordination interventions.

Experiences of Iranian Teen Mothers with Parenting Stress: A Qualitative Study.

Introduction: With the use of nursing theories in patient care, It was hoped that standards of care can be improved for patients, reduced the cost of nursing care and quality of life of patients co Reduced costs of nursing care and quality of life of patients correction. Objective: Using Neuman theory as a solution in Iranian nursing care challenges. Method: In order to find studies and resources related to Neuman Theory and Iranian nursing care, we used three-step techniques. digital databases in the National Library of Medicine of Iran (Elsevier, Nursing consult, Proquest, Scopus, ...) and Google scholar and Persian databases including Irandoc, Iran Medex, Magiran, SID and Medlib was used. Search articles from 1980 to 2016 in English and Persian papers from 1380 to 1395. Then, based on analysis of various studies on the use of Betty Neuman's theory challenges were identified. in early search 803 artcle was found. 231 article was related to the theory Newman, education and nursing care and at the end of the second stage only 23 articles reviewed. 12 cases (52%) articles related to nursing education, 8 (34% ) in relation to nursing care and other articles associated with the gap between theory and practice. Results: The results of the studies showed that the use of the Neuman Theory in the Iranian nursing system is very poor. More nurses in hospitals, provided nursing care to patients in the secondary level of prevention And their activities in other areas and other prevention levels in community settings and Holistic care, is very limited and it is inconsistent with the philosophy of holistic nursing care. Introduction Patient-centered care refers to care with respect for and responsiveness to patients‟ preferences, needs, and values; in this type of care, it is ensured that a patient's values are valued in clinical decision-making. Achieving Patient-centered care is not simple and needs a proper context to be provided.Objectives The purpose of this study is to explain the context of Patient-centered care in critical care units.Materials And Methods This study is of a qualitative nature with a content analysis approach. A total of 26 deep, semi-structured interviews were used in this study. The research setting included critical care units of selected hospitals of the Tehran University of Medical Sciences. Participant's speeches were recorded with a tape recorder and immediately transcribed word-by-word. After reading the interviews, the resulting data were coded and then classified according to the similarities and differences in order to understand the general text of the interviews; the sub-categories and the sub- categories were extracted.Results The study data led to the identification of three categories: specialized nature of care, individual factors, and organizational factors. The third category consisted of three subcategories such as hardware, attention-to-model experiences, and the actual performance of managers.Conclusion Patient-centered care is a multidimensional and subjective concept focused on nurse's perceptions. In order to achieve Patient-centered care, not only the effectiveness of the nurse's efforts but up-to-date knowledge, the hardware structure of care, and the performance of managers at a wider level are also important.

Explaining the Context of Patient-Centered Care in Critical Care Units

Background: During recent years involvement of Iranian nurse leaders in policy making for nursing has been increased, but still there are many disputations about policy making for nursing in Iran. Objectives: This study intended to explore and describe factors effecting on Involvement of nurse leaders in policy making for nursing in Iran. Method: A qualitative design involving face-to-face, semi-structured interviews by 20 nurse leaders and physicians who had key positions in policy making for nursing had been audio taped and transcribed. Using a conventional content analysis approach, data were analyzed. Results: After open coding and categorizing data three main categories created; include: performance of nurses and nurse leaders; opportunities face to nurse leaders; and conditions governing the healthcare system. Conclusion: Some factors effecting involvement of nurse leaders in policy making for nursing in Iran do not have wide differences with other studies in this field. Although many factors had been mentioned in this study, frequency of codes showed that performance of nurses and nurse leaders acted as a barrier and have had the most effects on involvement. Meanwhile, despite the obstacles, there are abundant opportunities before nurse leaders to making policies and they should apply them to modify these obstacles.
