Journal ArticleDOI
Surgical treatment of stage IV colorectal cancer with synchronous liver metastases: A systematic review and network meta-analysis.
Mohammad Ghiasloo,Diana Pavlenko,Marzia Verhaeghe,Zoé Van Langenhove,Ortwin Uyttebroek,Giammauro Berardi,Roberto Troisi,Wim Ceelen,Wim Ceelen +8 more
TL;DR: A network meta-analysis comparing the 'bowel-first' approach (BFA), simultaneous resection (SIM), and the 'liver-first" approach (LFA) found that patients undergoing the LFA were more likely to have rectal primaries and a higher metastatic load, and survival was similar.
Journal ArticleDOI
Expanding Clinical Indications of Mechanically Isolated Stromal Vascular Fraction: A Systematic Review
Mohammad Ghiasloo,Rodolfo C Lobato,Juan M Díaz,Kashika Singh,Alexis Verpaele,Patrick Tonnard +5 more
TL;DR: Mechanically isolated SVF offers a safe, easy and legal treatment modality for a range of indications and future research is indicated to identify the optimal isolation protocol, dose and timing.
Journal ArticleDOI
Effect of treatment sequence on survival in stage IV rectal cancer with synchronous and potentially resectable liver metastases.
Mohammad Ghiasloo,Hasan Kahya,Samuel Van Langenhove,Julien Grammens,Maaike Vierstraete,Giammauro Berardi,Roberto Ivan Troisi,Roberto Ivan Troisi,Wim Ceelen,Wim Ceelen +9 more
TL;DR: Outcomes are compared between patients treated with the bowel‐first approach (BFA) or the liver‐ first approach (LFA) for rectal cancer with synchronous liver metastases.
Journal ArticleDOI
A Systematic Review on Extracellular Vesicles-Enriched Fat Grafting: A Shifting Paradigm.
Mohammad Ghiasloo,Laura De Wilde,Kashika Singh,Patrick Tonnard,Alexis Verpaele,Olivier De Wever,Phillip Blondeel +6 more
TL;DR: Interestingly, hypoxic preconditioning of MSCs improved their beneficial paracrine effects and led to a more proangiogenic EV population, as observed by both in vitro and in vivo results.
Journal ArticleDOI
Pure laparoscopic formal right hepatectomy versus anatomical posterosuperior segmental resections: a comparative study
Maaike Vierstraete,Roberto Montalti,Francesca Tozzi,Giammauro Berardi,M.C. Giglio,Federico Tomassini,Mohammad Ghiasloo,Giovanni Domenico De Palma,Roberto Troisi +8 more
TL;DR: The laparoscopic parenchyma-preserving approach using anatomical PS segmental resections is associated with shorter hospital stay and a lower readmission rate in respect to formal RH.
