Journal ArticleDOI

Biochemical mechanisms of dose-dependent cytotoxicity and ROS-mediated apoptosis induced by lead sulfide/graphene oxide quantum dots for potential bioimaging applications.

TL;DR: Toxicity assay of the hybrid CQD in the cultured human mononuclear blood cells does not show cytotoxicity and damage to mitochondrial activity and mitochondrial membrane potential due to the formation of uncontrollable amounts of intracellular oxygen radicals (ROS) was observed.
Journal ArticleDOI

Influence of stoichiometry on the corrosion response of titanium oxide coatings produced by plasma electrolytic oxidation

TL;DR: In this article , the corrosion mechanism leading to coating debonding in acidic environments, produced by plasma electrolytic oxidation (PEO) on Ti, is investigated through electrochemical impedance spectroscopy (EIS), potential step chronometric, and a detailed structural characterization according to the use of electron energy loss spectroscope (EELS).
Journal ArticleDOI

Electron ptychography dose reduction using Moiré sampling on periodic structures.

TL;DR: In this paper , a smart sampling strategy was proposed to reduce the electron dose on periodic crystalline samples, which allowed dose reduction by orders of magnitude on periodic crystaline samples with high data redundancy requirement.
