TL;DR: In this article, an attempt is made to study the historical development of Islamic banking sector in the selected South-East Asia countries country and the results show that Islamic banking industry developed and evolved in a number of South-east Asia countries including Brunei, Philippines, Indonesia, Malaysia, Singapore and Thailand.
