Application of land-use/land cover changes in monitoring and projecting forest biomass carbon loss in Pakistan
Abdul Mannan,Jincheng Liu,Feng Zhong-ke,Tauheed Ullah Khan,Sajjad Saeed,Beckline Mukete,Shen Chaoyong,Fan Yongxiang,Adnan Ahmad,Muhammad Amir,Shahid Ahmad,Sher Shah +11 more
TL;DR: In this article, the authors focused on the quantitative assessment of spatiotemporal land use and land cover changes during 1998, 2008, 2018 and a simulation of 2028 using Landsat imagery, Markov Chain and Cellular Automata.
Journal ArticleDOI
An Appraisal of Agile Software Development Process
Muhammad Amir,Khalid Mohammed Khan,Adnan Khan,Muhammad Naeem Ahmed Khan,Shaheed Zulfikar,Ali Bhutto +5 more
TL;DR: This study is based on the survey of previous research reported in the contemporary literature and the practices being followed in this area, and provides a critical assessment of the agile software development process in a systematic manner.
Journal ArticleDOI
Effect of Climatic Factors on Stem Biomass and Carbon Stock of Larix gmelinii and Betula platyphylla in Daxing’anling Mountain of Inner Mongolia, China
Dilawar Khan,Muhammad Atif Muneer,Zaib-Un Nisa,Sher Shah,Muhammad Amir,Sajjad Saeed,Saleem Uddin,Muhammad Zeeshan Munir,Gao Lushuang,Huaguo Huang +9 more
TL;DR: In this paper, the effect of climate variables including precipitation and temperature on the biomass of Larix gmelinii and Betula platyphylla forests was assessed, and it was shown that both species have a very strong adaptive nature with climate variation and hence can survive under drought and high-temperature stress climatic conditions.
Journal ArticleDOI
Patterns of Biomass and Carbon Allocation across Chronosequence of Chir Pine (Pinus roxburghii) Forest in Pakistan: Inventory-Based Estimate
TL;DR: In this article, the authors investigated the relationship between carbon sequestration potential and stand ages of Pinus roxburghii forests in Pakistan using field inventory data, and found that the change in living tree biomass carbon with stand age showed a gradually decreasing trend from young to overmature stand.
Journal ArticleDOI
Uplink power control scheme for spectral efficiency maximization in NOMA systems
Bilal Ur Rehman,Mohammad Inayatullah Babar,Gamil Abdel Azim,Muhammad Amir,Hesham Alhumyani,Mohammed S. Alzaidi,Majid Alshammari,Rashid A. Saeed +7 more
TL;DR: In this paper , the joint optimization problem of power control and user grouping by considering the uplink NOMA system was addressed using a linear programming approach and three alternative algorithms solved user grouping: Randomly, 2-Opt, and the Hybrid.
