Optical properties of solution grown PVDF-ZnO nanocomposite thin films

TL;DR: In this paper, the optical properties of nanocomposite thin films were investigated using EDX, UV-Visible spectroscopy and Raman spectrographs, and the results imply that the effectiveness in shielding of UV radiation is due to absorption capacity of ZnO nanoparticles incorporated in PVDF.
Journal ArticleDOI

Characterization of copper nanoparticles synthesized by a novel microbiological method

TL;DR: In this article, the authors reported the synthesis of copper nanoparticles which involves nonpathogenic bacterial strain Pseudomonas stutzeri, isolated from soil and further characterized for size and shape distributions by ultraviolet-visible spectroscopy, x-ray diffraction, and high resolution transmission electron microscopy techniques.
Journal ArticleDOI

Synthesis of Gold Nanoparticles by Leaves of Zero-Calorie Sweetener Herb (Stevia rebaudiana) and Their Nanoscopic Characterization by Spectroscopy and Microscopy

TL;DR: In this article, gold nanoparticles with different shapes, such as octahedrons, hexagons and triangles, have been synthesized within 20 min by reducing gold chloride (HAuCl4) with dried, powdered Stevia rebaudiana leaves.
Journal ArticleDOI

A Review: Biological Synthesis Of Silver And Copper Nanoparticles

TL;DR: The ambient biological systems for fabrication of these nanoparticles and development of an updated knowledge base are reviewed and one area of untapped potential is the use of microbes to fabricate copper nanoparticles.
Journal ArticleDOI

Investigation of structural and thermal characteristics of PVDF/ZnO nanocomposites

TL;DR: The structural and thermal behavior of PVDF/ZnO nanocomposites have been investigated by employing scanning electron microscopy (SEM),TEM, DSC, powder X-ray diffraction (XRD), thermally stimulated discharge current (TSDC), and transient current techniques.
