Impact of the Di(2-Ethylhexyl) Phthalate Administration on Trace Element and Mineral Levels in Relation of Kidney and Liver Damage in Rats
TL;DR: Investigation of trace element and mineral levels in relation of kidney and liver damage in DEHP-administered rats indicated that sodium (Na), calcium (Ca), potassium (K), lithium (Li), rubidium (Rb) and cesium (Cs) levels significantly decreased, however iron (Fe) and selenium (Se) concentrations significantly increased inDEHP- Administered groups compared to the control in the serum samples.
Journal ArticleDOI
Data the DEHP induced changes on the trace element and mineral levels in the brain and testis tissues of rats
TL;DR: The data revealed that, antioxidant enzyme activities in the brain and testis samples were statistically insignificant in the DEHP administered groups compared to the control group except 400 mg/kg/day DEHP dose group in thetestis samples.
Journal ArticleDOI
Composite nanofibers incorporating alpha lipoic acid and atorvastatin provide neuroprotection after peripheral nerve injury in rats.
Mohammad Karim Haidar,Selin Seda Timur,Atilla Kazanci,Omer Faruk Turkoglu,R. Neslihan Gürsoy,Emirhan Nemutlu,Mustafa F. Sargon,Ebru Bodur,Muslum Gok,Kezban Ulubayram,Levent Öner,Hakan Eroglu +11 more
TL;DR: The neuroprotection potential of these novel nanocomposite fiber formulations has been demonstrated after local implantation of composite nanofiber sheets incorporating ALA and ATR, which contributed to the recovery of the motor and sensory function and nerve regeneration in a rat sciatic nerve crush injury model.
Journal ArticleDOI
Long-term treatment with a beta-blocker timolol attenuates renal-damage in diabetic rats via enhancing kidney antioxidant-defense system
TL;DR: Timolol-treatment of streptozotocin-induced diabetic rats has advantage to prevent hyperglycemia-induced renal-damage via enhancing the depressed antioxidant defense in the kidney, and β-blocker therapy of diabetics seems to be a new therapeutic approach against hyperglyCEmia- induced kidney damage in diabetic patients.
Journal ArticleDOI
Flaxseed Protects Against Diabetes-Induced Glucotoxicity by Modulating Pentose Phosphate Pathway and Glutathione-Dependent Enzyme Activities in Rats.
TL;DR: Flaxseed has beneficial effects against diabetes-induced glucotoxicity by modulating G6PD, 6PGD, GR and GST activities in tissues.
