Neeltje van Doremalen,Trenton Bushmaker,Dylan H. Morris,Myndi G. Holbrook,Amandine Gamble,Brandi N. Williamson,Azaibi Tamin,Jennifer L Harcourt,Natalie J. Thornburg,Susan I. Gerber,James O. Lloyd-Smith,Emmie de Wit,Vincent J. Munster +12 more
TL;DR: Aerosol and Surface Stability of SARS-CoV-2 In this research letter, investigators report on the stability of Sars-CoVs and the viability of the two virus under experimental conditions.
Journal ArticleDOI
ChAdOx1 nCoV-19 vaccine prevents SARS-CoV-2 pneumonia in rhesus macaques.
Neeltje van Doremalen,Teresa Lambe,Alexandra J. Spencer,Sandra Belij-Rammerstorfer,Jyothi N. Purushotham,Jyothi N. Purushotham,Julia R Port,Victoria A. Avanzato,Trenton Bushmaker,Amy Flaxman,Marta Ulaszewska,Friederike Feldmann,Elizabeth R. Allen,Hannah Sharpe,Jonathan E Schulz,Myndi G. Gilbert,Vincent J. Munster +37 more
TL;DR: It is shown that the adenovirus-vector-based vaccine ChAdOx1 nCoV-19, which encodes the spike protein of SARS- CoV-2, is immunogenic in mice and elicites a robust humoral and cell-mediated response.
Posted ContentDOI
Aerosol and surface stability of HCoV-19 (SARS-CoV-2) compared to SARS-CoV-1
Neeltje van Doremalen,Trenton Bushmaker,Dylan H. Morris,Myndi G. Holbrook,Amandine Gamble,Brandi N. Williamson,Azaibi Tamin,Jennifer L Harcourt,Natalie J. Thornburg,Susan I. Gerber,James O. Lloyd-Smith,James O. Lloyd-Smith,Emmie de Wit,Vincent J. Munster +13 more
TL;DR: The aerosol and surface stability of HCoV-19 is analyzed and it is compared with SARS- coV-1, the most closely related human coronavirus.
Posted ContentDOI

TL;DR: It is shown that the adenovirus-vectored vaccine ChAdOx1 nCoV-19, encoding the spike protein of SARS- coV-2, is immunogenic in mice, eliciting a robust humoral and cell-mediated response.
Journal ArticleDOI
K18-hACE2 mice develop respiratory disease resembling severe COVID-19.
Claude Kwe Yinda,Julia R Port,Trenton Bushmaker,Irene Offei Owusu,Jyothi N. Purushotham,Victoria A. Avanzato,Robert J. Fischer,Jonathan E Schulz,Myndi G. Holbrook,Madison J. Hebner,Rebecca Rosenke,Tina Thomas,Andrea Marzi,Sonja M. Best,Emmie de Wit,Carl Shaia,Neeltje van Doremalen,Vincent J. Munster +17 more
TL;DR: The authors showed that transgenic mice expressing the human SARS-CoV-2 receptor (angiotensin-converting enzyme 2 [hACE2]) under a cytokeratin 18 promoter (K18) are susceptible to SARS and that infection resulted in a dose-dependent lethal disease course.
