Hypoxia-enhanced wound-healing function of adipose-derived stem cells: increase in stem cell proliferation and up-regulation of VEGF and bFGF.

TL;DR: Results suggest that hypoxia increases the proliferation of ADSC and enhances the wound‐healing function of ADSCs, at least partly, by up‐regulating the secretion of VEGF and bFGF.
Journal ArticleDOI

Analysis of HOX Gene Expression Patterns in Human Breast Cancer

TL;DR: Analysis of expression patterns of putative candidate HOX genes involved in breast cancer tumorigenesis and progression using breast cancer cell lines and patient-derived breast tissues revealed that HOXA and HOXB gene expression occurred in a subtype-specific manner in breastcancer cell lines, whereas most HOXC genes were strongly expressed in most cell lines.
Journal ArticleDOI

Calcyclin, a Ca2+ ion-binding protein, contributes to the anabolic effects of simvastatin on bone.

TL;DR: Calcyclin is one of the candidate proteins that plays a role in osteoblastogenesis in response to simvastatin, although the precise functions of calcyclin in osteoblasts remain to be verified.
Journal ArticleDOI

HOXB5 Promotes the Proliferation and Invasion of Breast Cancer Cells.

TL;DR: It is suggested that HOXB5 acts as a positive modulator most likely by promoting cell proliferative response and invasiveness in ER-positive breast cancer.
Journal ArticleDOI

Incidence and Etiology of Pneumonia Acquired during Mechanical Ventilation

TL;DR: A total of 57 consecutive patients submitted to mechanical ventilation for more than 48 hours in ICU were studied to investigate the incidence, etiology and consequence of ventilator associated pneumonia.
