Fresh and mechanical characteristics of roselle fibre reinforced self-compacting concrete incorporating fly ash and metakaolin

TL;DR: In this article, the fresh and mechanical characteristics of self-compacting concrete incorporating various fractions of (natural) roselle fibre (1 to 4% with 1% increment by weight of powder content).
Journal ArticleDOI

Mechanical characterisation of sustainable fibre-reinforced lightweight concrete incorporating waste coconut shell as coarse aggregate and sisal fibre

TL;DR: In this paper, the authors used sisal fiber to enhance the weak mechanical properties of lightweight concrete, such as compressive strength, split tensile strength, flexural strength, elastic modulus and impact resistance.
Journal ArticleDOI

Effect of Steel Fiber on the Strength and Flexural Characteristics of Coconut Shell Concrete Partially Blended with Fly Ash

TL;DR: In this paper , a 10% weight replacement of class F fly ash was used in the place of cement to reduce the high cement content of lightweight concrete, and the impact of steel fiber addition on the compressive strength and flexural features of sustainable concrete was investigated.
