Journal ArticleDOI
Cationic alkoxyallylolefin complexes of rhodium, [Rh(η2-5,6-η3-2,3,8,C7H7-CHOR)(η5-C5H5)]+An−, as key intermediates in the synthesis and hydrolysis of 2-formylnorbornadienecyclopentadienylrhodium dialkylacetals
Igor T. Chizhevsky,N. E. Kolobova,N. V. Rastova,V. F. Sizoi,Pavel V. Petrovskii,V. G. Andrianov,Yu. T. Struchkov +6 more
TL;DR: In this article, a preliminary X-ray study of the cation IIa (R = Me, An = PF 6 ) confirms the metal-ligand bonding of the η 2 -5,6-η 3 -2,3,8-allylolefinic type with a significant participation of the oxygen atom of the methoxy group in stabilization of the C(8) cationic centre.
Journal ArticleDOI
Mass spectrometry of transition metal π-complexes. 40—(η4-Norbornadiene)-(η5-cyclopentadienyl)rhodium derivatives†
Dmitri V. Zagorevskii,Hongwen Chen,John L. Holmes,Yu. S. Nekrasov,I. T. Chizhevski,N. V. Rastova,N. E. Kolobova +6 more
TL;DR: The electron impact mass spectra of substituted norbornadienecyclopentadienyl rhodium complexes have been studied in this paper, and the decomposition pathways of the norbornadiene ligand are explained in terms of specific interaction between the metal atom and substituent.
Journal ArticleDOI
Cationic products from O-protonation reaction of 2-acylnorbornadiene complexes of rhodium with hydrogen chloride in ether: structure, reactivity and nature of hydrogen bond
TL;DR: In this article, the cationic hydroxyallylolefin complexes of rhodium were prepared as stable salts from the reaction of Rh(η4-C7H7-2-COR)(η5-C5H4R1) (Ia, b, d) (where R = H, Me, R1 = H; R =H, Me) with HCl in absolute ether.
Journal ArticleDOI
2-Acylnorbornadiene-rhodium π-complexes: Comparison of electron-donating properties of carbonyl group oxygen atoms
TL;DR: In this paper, the basicity of the 0 atom in the formyl group in organometallic aldehydes increases in the series: (CO)3MnC5H4CHO < C5H5Fe < C4C7H7-2-CHO; in (Cp)Rh(η4-C 7H7H2-CHO) norbornadiene π-complexes, where Cp=C5Me < C 5H5
Journal ArticleDOI
Mechanism of the formation of alkoxyallylolefin complexes of rhodium [Rh(η2-5,6-η3-2,3,8-C7H7-2-CH\(\dddot ---\)OR) (η5-C5H5)]+An−
TL;DR: In this article, it was established that the alkoxyallylolefin complexes of rhodium [Rh(η2-5,6,η3-2,3,8-C7H7-2-CH\(\dddot ---\)OR)(η5-C5H5)]+ An− (R = Alk) formed in the O-alkylation of (2-formylnorbornadiene) cyclopentadienylrhodium with the simplest carbinols in acidic media are formed through
