Buildings energy consumption is growing gradually and put away around 40% of total energy use. P redicting heating and cooling loads of a building in the initial phase of the design to find out optimal solutions amongst different designs is very important, as well as in the operating phase after the building has been finished for efficient energy. In this study, an artificial neural network model was designed and developed for predicting heating and cooling loads of a building based on a dataset for building energy performance. The main factors for input variables are: relative compactness, roof area, overall height, surface area, glazing are a, wall area, glazing area distribution of a building, orientation, and the output variables: heating and cooling loads of the building. The dataset used for training are the data published in the literature for various 768 residential buildings. The model was trained and validated, most important factors affecting heating load and cooling load are identified, and the accuracy for the validation was 99.60%.

Energy Efficiency Predicting using Artificial Neural Network

Supply chain 4.0 denotes the fourth revolution of supply chain management systems, integrating manufacturing operations with telecommunication and Information Technology processes. Although the overarching aim of supply chain 4.0 is the enhancement of production systems within supply chains, making use of global reach, increasing agility and emerging technology, with the ultimate goal of increasing efficiency, timeliness and profitability, Supply chain 4.0 suffers from unique and emerging operational and cyber risks. Supply chain 4.0 has a lack of semantic standards, poor interoperability, and a dearth of security in the operation of its manufacturing and Information Technology processes. The technologies that underpin supply chain 4.0 include blockchain, smart contracts, applications of Artificial Intelligence, cyber-physical systems, Internet of Things and Industrial Internet of Things. Each of these technologies, individually and combined, create cyber security issues that should be addressed. This paper explains the nature of the military supply chains 4.0 and how it uniquely differs from the commercial supply chain, revealing their strengths, weaknesses, dependencies and the fundamental technologies upon which they are built. This encompasses an assessment of the cyber risks and opportunities for research in the field, including consideration of connectivity, sensing and convergence of systems. Current and emerging semantic models related to the standardization, development and safety assurance considerations for implementing new technologies into military supply chains 4.0 are also discussed. This is examined from a holistic standpoint and through technology-specific lenses to determine current states and implications for future research directions.

Supply Chain 4.0: A Survey of Cyber Security Challenges, Solutions and Future Directions

The aim of this research is to study the performance of JustNN environment that have not been previously examined to care of this blood donation problem forecasting. An Artificial Neural Network model was built to understand if performance is considerably enhanced via JustNN tool or not. The inspiration for this study is that blood request is steadily growing day by day due to the need of transfusions of blood because of surgeries, accidents, diseases etc. Accurate forecast of the number of blood donors can help medical professionals know the future supply of blood and plan consequently to attract volunteer of blood donors to fulfill the demand. We found that the ANN model using JustNN tool led to the best test set performance accuracy of (99.31%), which is better than other studies.

Blood Donation Prediction using Artificial Neural Network

It aimed to identify the strategic creativity in Islamic banks in Palestine between reality and implementation. The study adopted the descriptive analytical approach. A questionnaire was designed as a tool for the study. The study community consisted of all employees in Islamic banks from the top and middle management and the study has been applied to the Palestinian Islamic bank and the Arab Islamic Bank. The comprehensive inventory method was used, given the small size of the study sample, as questionnaires were distributed to (175) employees, and a number of (5) categories were chosen from each branch of the bank(general manager, deputy general manager, director Branch, department head, department manager). (164) questionnaires have been used Recovered with a recovery rate of (93.71%). The study showed a number of results, the most important of which is the availability of dimensions of strategic innovation at a high level in Islamic banks in Palestine with a relative weight of (82.22%). In addition, that there are no differences between the averages estimates about the reality of the study variables in Islamic banks due to (gender, age group, educational qualification, number of years of service, job title). The study also presented a set of recommendations, including that the bank should provide the environment and the appropriate climate for employees to invest their intellectual energy, urge them to strategic creativity, and deal fairly with all creative ideas regardless of their source.

Strategic Creativity in Islamic Banks in Palestine between Reality and Implementation

The aim of this paper is to present new statistical techniques
–namely, the stepwise multiple regression analysis
techniques and Durbin Watson techniques to reduce
software maintenance risks in a software projects. However,
these statistical measures would be performed using
stepwise multiple regression analysis and Durbin Watson
statistic techniques to compare the risk management
techniques to each of the software maintenance risk factors
to identify if they are effective in reducing the occurrence of
each software maintenance risk factor and selecting the best
model. Also ten top software maintenance risk factors were
mitigated by using risk management techniques in Table 24.
The study has been conducted on a group of software project
managers. The success of software project risk management
will greatly improve the probability of software project
success.

Cloud computing is a recent evolving technology that every organization nowadays wishes to apply to its company for greater profitability and scalability. The aim of this study is to identify critical issues and challenges in cloud computing for banking organizations. Indeed, we identified twenty critical cloud issues for banking organizations based secondary data such as Protection of Cloud Data and Privacy, authorization, and authentication for a cloud system, Safeguard the Confidentiality of Cloud Information, accessibility effectiveness or availability of cloud data, etc. Furthermore, we derived the critical issues from cloud computing models: Mobility and banking application, cloud services, cloud deployment, cloud risk management, and cloud security model. As future work, we intend to mitigate the critical issues depend on data qualitative and quantitative by using intelligence techniques. Successful essential identification of cloud security issues will significantly improve the probability of cloud banking success

Critical Cloud Computing Risks for Banking Organizations: Issues and Challenges

This study is aimed to apply statistical modelling approached to minimize risks software planning process by using fuzzy and stepwise approach. The fuzzy approach model’s accuracy slightly enhances than stepwise approach. However, all approach modeling risks were an acceptable value for the mean magnitude of relative error (MMRE) including prediction at level (25). Indeed, this study used the evaluation techniques (MMRE, Pred (l)) to validate good prediction and estimating the predictive level to produce two scenarios. This study provided empirical evidence to identify and model software issues and controls that effect on successful planning processes. Besides, the data gathered from the software projects and top IT managers at Palestine software development companies can be used in modeling.

Assessment Risks for Managing Software Planning Processes in Information Technology Systems

This research aimed at exploring the success factors that support the achievements of savings and credit cooperatives in Haiti. Research is based on a flexible and inductive exploratory approach with a focus on exploring, describing, discovery, and comprehension of the subject. Semi-directed interviews were conducted with three founding members of a Haitian savings and credit agency. Analysis of qualitative data was done within an interpretive perspective. The NVivo version 11 software was used for coding and it facilitated organizing ideas into analytical themes. This research demonstrated, among other things, that support organizations play an important role in providing moral and financial support, and consequently in guaranteeing the success of this type of socioeconomic initiative. It also showed that community rooting, goodwill, and unconditional citizen engagement often promote the success of local initiatives. Savings and credit cooperative (SACCOs) success involves the creation of a proximity effect, community rooting, and meeting of the needs of the environment. Financial training and education for members of cooperatives and the community have also significantly contributed to SACCOs success. 

Haitian Cooperative of Savings and Credits: Social and Community Dimensions of Success

This research aims to understand the different success factors of a savings and credit cooperative (SACCO) through the study of the managerial dimensions and its style of governance. Semi-directed interviews were conducted with three directors who are founding members of the Haitian ‘MEN ALE MEN VINI (MAMEV)’ cooperative. NVIVO version 11 software was used as a tool for coding and data analysis. The interviews concluded that the success of the cooperative is linked to the personal attributes of the various directors, effective management, good governance and an efficient decision-making system. This research also showed that the success of cooperatives is partly related to the notoriety, leadership, willingness and level of commitment of its directors. It is also related to the good governance manifested in the participatory management and decision-making, the transparency of the organization and the quality of the work of the cooperatives. Also, the research has shown that anchoring the cooperative in the community, bringing the population closer to the cooperative and offering services adapted to the community’s needs have a positive influence on the membership and make the cooperative more sustainable. Finally, the research showed that the adoption of an effective governance mode helped to ensure the sustainability, viability, modernity, efficiency and social, financial and economic soundness of the cooperative. The experience of this SACCO not only helped the members to counteract the myth of incapacity that prevailed in Haitian community at the time but also improved the living conditions of the members as well as those of community members. The research provides a novel contribution to the resilient and sustainable model of governing and managing SACCOs. It also presents a new model of the Success Keys of SACCOs.
