Bright, Multi-responsive, Sky-Blue Platinum(II) Phosphors Based on a Tetradentate Chelating Framework.

TL;DR: A new class of highly efficient and stable, blue-phosphorescent PtII complexes based on a tetradentate chelating framework has been found to exhibit highly sensitive and reversible responses to multiple external stimuli including temperature, pressure, and UV irradiation with distinct phosphorescent color switching-from blue to red or white.
Journal ArticleDOI

A simple multi-responsive system based on aldehyde functionalized amino-boranes

TL;DR: An aldehyde functionalized amino-borane has been found to respond to multiple external stimuli such as temperature, pressure and solvents, producing distinct patterns and colours.
Journal ArticleDOI

Planar Chiral Organoboranes with Thermoresponsive Emission and Circularly Polarized Luminescence: Integration of Pillar[5]arenes with Boron Chemistry

TL;DR: An efficient and straightforward approach is presented to achieve early examples of highly luminescent chiral systems ( P5NN and P5BN) and an interesting thermochromic shift of the emission over a wide range of temperature is afforded.
Journal ArticleDOI

Highly Efficient Deep-Blue Electrophosphorescent Pt(II) Compounds with Non-Distorted Flat Geometry: Tetradentate versus Macrocyclic Chelate Ligands

TL;DR: In this paper, a new class of deep blue electrophosphorescent Pt(II) emitters have been designed and synthesized, which employ tetradentate and macrocyclic chelate chromophores to constrain the PII molecules in a non-distorted flat geometry in both the ground state and the excited state.
