Journal ArticleDOI

Aerobic oxidation of alcohols with ruthenium-cobalt bimetallic catalyst in the presence of aldehydes

TL;DR: Ruthenium-cobalt catalysts effectively catalyze the oxidation of alcohols by O(sub 2 ) as discussed by the authors, which is attractive for a number of pragmatic reasons and has previously been limited to activated systems.
Journal ArticleDOI

Oxidation of substituted toluenes with molecular oxygen in the presence of N, N', N-trihydroxyisocyanuric acid as a key catalyst

TL;DR: N,N',N' '-Trihydroxyisocianuric acid (THICA) was found to be a very efficient catalyst for the oxidation of alkylbenzenes with dioxygen and p-Xylene was efficiently oxidized by THICA to telephthalic acid in high yield (over 95%) under mild conditions.
Journal ArticleDOI

Aerobic oxidation of 1,3,5-triisopropylbenzene using N-hydroxyphthalimide (NHPI) as key catalyst

TL;DR: The first systematic study on the aerobic oxidation of 1,3,5-triisopropylbenzene was examined by the use of N-hydroxyphthalimide (NHPI) as a key catalyst.
Journal ArticleDOI

Development of an efficient method for preparation of 1,3,5-trihydroxyisocyanuric acid (THICA) and its use as aerobic oxidation catalyst

TL;DR: 1,3,5-Trihydroxyisocyanuric acid (THICA) was successfully prepared by two methods as discussed by the authors, which serves as an efficient radical-producing catalyst from hydrocarbons.
