TL;DR: Dipyridin-2-ylmethanone oxime (C11H9N3O) was prepared using di-2 pyridyl ketone and its neutral CuX2 (oxime)2 (X = Cl or Br) complexes have been identified with the aid of several spectroscopic techniques such as IR, EI-MS, EA, UV-visible, TG, 1H-NMR and finally the structure of the free oxime ligand was confirmed by X-ray diffraction studies as mentioned in this paper.
