TL;DR: The model to predict long-COVID at 7 days, which gained a ROC-AUC of 76%, was replicated in an independent sample of 2472 antibody positive individuals and could be used to identify individuals for clinical trials to reduce long-term symptoms and target education and rehabilitation services.

SARS-CoV-2 (COVID-19) infection in pregnant women: characterization of symptoms and syndromes predictive of disease and severity through real-time, remote participatory epidemiology
Erika Molteni,Christina M Astley,Wenjie Ma,Carole H. Sudre,Laura A. Magee,Benjamin J. Murray,Tove Fall,Maria F. Gomez,Neli Tsereteli,Paul W. Franks,John S. Brownstein,Richard Davies,Jonathan Wolf,Tim D. Spector,Sebastien Ourselin,Claire J. Steves,Andrew T. Chan,Marc Modat +17 more
TL;DR: Although pregnancy is widely considered a risk factor for SARS-CoV-2 infection and outcomes, and was associated with higher propensity for testing, the profile of symptom characteristics and severity in community-based cohorts were comparable to those observed among non-pregnant women, except for the gastrointestinal symptoms.
Journal ArticleDOI
Symptoms and syndromes associated with SARS-CoV-2 infection and severity in pregnant women from two community cohorts.
Erika Molteni,Christina M Astley,Wenjie Ma,Carole H. Sudre,Laura A. Magee,Benjamin J. Murray,Tove Fall,Maria F. Gomez,Neli Tsereteli,Paul W. Franks,John S. Brownstein,Richard Davies,Jonathan Wolf,Tim D. Spector,Sebastien Ourselin,Claire J. Steves,Andrew T. Chan,Marc Modat +17 more
TL;DR: In this article, the authors compared pregnant and non-pregnant women for frequency of events, including SARS-CoV-2 testing, symptoms and hospitalization rates, and found that pregnant women were more likely to have received testing, despite reporting fewer symptoms.
