Support Vector Machines for Fault Detection in Wind Turbines

TL;DR: In this paper, support vector machines (SVM) are used for fault detection and isolation in a variable speed horizontal-axis wind turbine composed of three blades and a full converter.
Journal ArticleDOI

Usefulness of Controlled Release of Growth Factors in Investigating the Early Events of Dentin-pulp Regeneration

TL;DR: The results clearly show the usefulness of growth factor controlled release in investigating the early events of pulp/dentin regeneration and provides additional data on the signals required for vital pulp therapy and future tissue engineering.
Journal ArticleDOI

Use of silica particles for the formation of organic-inorganic particles by surfactant-free emulsion polymerization.

TL;DR: Different process parameters were investigated in order to optimize the latex stability and maximize the reaction rate, and the presence of silica particles on the polymer particle surface was found to affect radical absorption and decrease therefore the Reaction rate.
Journal ArticleDOI

Synthesis of Hybrid Core−Shell Nanoparticles by Emulsion (Co)polymerization of Styrene and γ-Methacryloxypropyltrimethoxysilane

TL;DR: In this paper, a core-shell nanoparticles with a polystyrene core and a hybrid copolymer shell were synthesized via emulsion polymerization of styrene and subsequent addition of c-methacryloxypropyltrimethoxysilane (MPS) to produce the shell by copolymersization reaction of MPS with the residual amount of styrin.
Journal ArticleDOI

Investigation of Four Different Laponite Clays as Stabilizers in Pickering Emulsion Polymerization.

TL;DR: Four different grades of Laponite were investigated as stabilizers in the emulsion polymerization of styrene, and the clays did not have the same effect on stabilization, which was related to differences in their compositions and in their adsorption isotherms.
