Initial comparison between endoscopic and conventional methods of caries diagnosis.

TL;DR: When all tooth sites were compared, the results indicated that the endoscopic methods may detect a greater number of carious lesions than do conventional visual, radiographic, or fiber-optic transilluminational methods of caries diagnosis.

The use of magnification in general dental practice in Scotland--a survey report

TL;DR: Routine use of magnification was associated with the length of time the practitioner had been qualified and the attendance at a course at which magnification was discussed, and was considered suitable for all clinical procedures except orthodontics and prosthodontics.
