Flow observations and mass transfer characteristics in symmetrical wavy-walled channels at moderate Reynolds numbers for steady flow

TL;DR: In this paper, the authors investigated flow patterns and mass transfer characteristics in symmetrical two-dimensional wavy-walled channels at moderate Reynolds numbers : 20-300 for the sinusoidal wall and arc-shaped wall.
Journal ArticleDOI

Natural convection in horizontal enclosures with multiple partitions

TL;DR: In this article, a thin partition with a high conductivity is employed for horizontal enclosures with multiple partitions for a wide range of Rayleigh numbers and the heat transfer rates, temperature distributions and flow visualizations reveal that natural convection in each cell constructed by the partitions is identical to the ordinary Benard problem, i.e. thermal coupling by conduction through partitions is minute.
