Journal ArticleDOI

Upregulation by retinoic acid of transforming growth factor-β-stimulated heat shock protein 27 induction in osteoblasts: involvement of mitogen-activated protein kinases

TL;DR: The results strongly suggest that p44/p42 MAP kinase and p38 MAP Kinase take part in the pathways of the TGF-beta-stimulated HSP27 induction in osteoblasts, and that retinoic acid upregulates the T GF- beta-stimulation of HSP 27 induction at a point downstream from p 44/p 42 MAP kinases and p 38 MAP kinas.
Journal ArticleDOI

Glandular odontogenic cyst: a case report and literature review.

TL;DR: A case of GOC is reported that exhibited histologic features suggesting the aggressive and somewhat neoplastic nature of this lesion, especially from central low-grade mucoepidermoid carcinoma (MEC), as well as its treatment, are reported.
Journal ArticleDOI

Incidence of Prevotella intermedia and Prevotella nigrescens carriage among family members with subclinical periodontal disease.

TL;DR: The results suggest that the combination of PCR ribotyping and AP-PCR fingerprinting is well suited for the epidemiological study of P. intermedia and P. nigrescens and that each family seems to carry a distinct subtype(s) of these species.
Journal ArticleDOI

Analysis of genetic alterations in salivary gland tumors by comparative genomic hybridization

TL;DR: Data from the comparative genomic hybridization technique indicate that different genetic alterations are present in the different types of SGTs, and that the alterations involve several chromosomes.
Journal ArticleDOI

Calcifying odontogenic cyst associated with compound odontoma: report of a case.

TL;DR: A case of solid neoplastic COC associated with a compound odontoma arising in close association with the crowns of an unerupted upper left lateral incisor and canine in an 8-year-old girl is presented.
