Journal ArticleDOI
Solvent and water retention in dental adhesive blends after evaporation.
Cynthia K.Y. Yiu,E.L. Pashley,Noriko Hiraishi,Nigel M. King,Cecilia Goracci,Marco Ferrari,Ricardo M. Carvalho,David H. Pashley,Franklin R. Tay +8 more
TL;DR: The extent of organic solvent and water retention in comonomer blends with different hydrophilicity after solvent evaporation is examined, and the extent of tracer penetration in polymerised films prepared from these resins is examined.
Journal ArticleDOI
Clinical Trials of Silver Diamine Fluoride in Arresting Caries among Children: A Systematic Review
Sherry Shiqian Gao,Irene Shuping Zhao,Noriko Hiraishi,Duangporn Duangthip,May Lei Mei,Edward Chin Man Lo,Chun Hung Chu +6 more
TL;DR: A systematic review found that 38% silver diamine fluoride (SDF) can effectively arrest caries among children and can be a promising strategy to manage dental caries in young children or those who have special needs.
Journal ArticleDOI
Mechanisms of silver diamine fluoride on arresting caries: a literature review.
Irene Shuping Zhao,Sherry Shiqian Gao,Noriko Hiraishi,Michael F. Burrow,Duangporn Duangthip,May Lei Mei,Edward Chin Man Lo,Chun Hung Chu +7 more
TL;DR: SDF is a bactericidal agent and reduces the growth of cariogenic bacteria and promotes the remineralisation of demineralised enamel and dentine and hampers degradation of the dentine collagen.

Water treeing in simplified dentin adhesives--déjà vu?
Journal ArticleDOI
Effect of 2% chlorhexidine on dentin microtensile bond strengths and nanoleakage of luting cements.
TL;DR: Chlorhexidine reduced mTBS and produced pronounced nanoleakage when PF and UC were luted to dentine, while there was no adverse effect on coupling of ARC.
