Abstract: A general framework to compute matrix elements of operators between relativistic three-quark bound states is presented and used to investigate static properties of the nucleonic solution to the Faddeev equation. The Ward-Takahashi identity in the three-quark system is derived and the violation of gauge invariance due to a Euclidean cut-off is investigated. Results for the axial vector coupling constants and quark condensates are presented and discussed in comparison to the additive diquark-quark model.
