Abstrak.  Lahan rawa pasang surut merupakan sumberdaya lahan yang dapat menjadi sumber pertumbuhan produksi baru produksi pertanian. Namun perlu didukung oleh teknologi budidaya yang handal karena umumnya lahan rawa pasang surut memiliki beberapa kendala meliputi aspek teknis, infrastruktur, dan aspek sosial ekonomi serta kelembagaan. Optimalisasi penggunaan lahan rawa pasang surut sangat strategis dan berpeluang besar untuk meningkatkan produksi padi di lahan rawa pasang surut sehingga berkontribusi signifikan terhadap produksi padi nasional. Optimalisasi tersebut dapat melalui (1) perluasan areal, (2) peningkatan Indeks Pertanaman (IP) (pengelolaan air dan penggunaan varietas unggul), dan (3) peningkatan produktivitas (penataan lahan, pengolahan tanah, ameliorasi dan pemupukan, pengendalian gulma, hama dan penyakit serta penguatan kelembagaan). Apabila dilakukan optimalisasi lahan rawa pasang surut dengan dukungan inovasi teknologi pengelolaan dan budidaya yang baik dan peningkatan indeks pertanaman (IP 200), maka dapat diperoleh tambahan produksi sebesar 2,44 juta ton gabah per tahun. Pencapaian optimalisasi di atas dapat dilakukan secara bertahap dengan penerapan asas prioritas, berkesinambungan, sistematis, dan fokus. Sehubungan dengan keterkaitan yang kuat baik antar sektor maupun antara subsektor pada bidang pertanian sendiri, maka koordinasi, integrasi, sinkronisasi menjadi kunci keberhasilan. Abstract.  Tidal swamp land resources can be a source of new production growth of agricultural production. However, it should be supported by reliable cultivation technology due to tidal swamp land generally have some constraints including technical aspects, infrastructure,socio-economics and institution.. Optimization usage of a tidal swamp land is very strategic and has a great opportunity to increase rice production in the tidal wetlands that may contribute significantly to the national rice production. The optimization can be via (1) area expansion, (2) increase the cropping index (IP) (water management and the use of high yielding varieties), and (3) increased productivity (land arrangement, soil tillage, amelioration and fertilization, weed control, pest and disease as well as institutional strengthening). If optimization usage of tidal swamp land is carried out and supported by technological innovation, good cultivation management, and improved cropping indices (IP 200), it is expected to obtain additional production of 3.5 million tons of rice grain per year. This achievement target can be done gradually by implementiing the priority principle, continuity, systematics, and focusing. In the connection of strong linkages among development sectors and sub-sectors in agriculture itself, the koordination, integration, and synchronization are the key of success.

Optimalisasi Penggunaan Lahan Rawa Pasang Surut Mendukung Swasembada Pangan Nasional

Daily activity pattern and population dynamic of fruit fly Bactrocera dorsalis complex on citrus plantation at highland Karo district North Sumatera Province. The fruit fly Bactrocera dorsalis complex is important pest on citrus plantation at highland Karo district North Sumatera Province. The studies with the aim to find out its daily activity pattern and population dynamic on citrus plantation have been done. Fruit flies were collected by water bottle trap with methyl eugenol attractant. Sampling for daily activity pattern was done per two hours for two months (April to May 2011) from 06.00 a.m until 18.00 p.m. Meanwhile, population dynamic study was conducted on two citrus plantations per four days for nine months (March to November 2011) in the first and third week of each month. The research result showed that B.dorsalis complex was more active during morning at 10.00 to 12.00 a.m. The peak abundance of fruit fly occurred at the end of June until beginning of July. The peak population coincided with the ripening period of fruits, low number of rainy (d) and rainfall (mm) in June and July periods. There was a significant correlation between number of rainy day and rainfall with fruit flies caught per month (R = 0.79; Y = 289.34+14.23X1-15.93X2 ; R2 = 0.62; P < 0.05). The pattern of fruit fly fluctuation in two citrus plantations was similar (rs = 0.47;P < 0.05).

Ketersediaan lahan untuk usaha pertanian merupakan syarat mutlak untuk mewujudkan swasembada, ketahanan, mandirian, dan kedaulatan pangan nasional. Lahan marginal kering berpotensi mendukung peningkatan produksi padi nasional. Keberadaannya menjadi solusi optimalisasi lahan kering sebagai pengganti lahan sawah yang terkonversi. Upaya menggalakkan budidaya padi gogo berpeluang besar dalam peningkatan produksi padi di Riau karena telah dibudidayakan masyarakat secara turun temurun. Budidaya padi gogo di Provinsi Riau umumnya diusahakan pada lahan marginal kering (Inceptisol, Ultisol), yang kendala utamanya adalah ketersedian air yang terbatas, kesuburan tanah rendah (terutama P terikat kuat oleh aluminium sehingga tidak tersedia), dan bahan organik rendah. Berbagai penelitian yang andal pada beberapa kondisi ketersedian air, penggunaan varietas ungggul dan dengan menerapkan teknologi tepat guna berupa pemberian bahan amelioran telah dapat mengoptimalkan pemanfaatan lahan marginal kering dan meningkatkan produktifitasnya. Selanjutnya untuk keberlangsungan budidaya padi gogo di lahan marginal kering tergantung pada konsistennya pemerintah pusat maupun daerah dalam menerapkan UU Nomor 41 Tahun 2009 tentang Perlindungan Lahan Pertanian Pangan Berkelanjutan.

Optimalisasi Pemanfaatan Lahan Marginal Kering untuk Budidaya Padi Gogo di Riau

Growth and yield of rice are significantly determined by soil nutrient availability. Phosphorus and potassium  are two soil nutrients that are required in considerable amounts. The aims of this research was to investigate nutrient status of P and K in lowlandrice, which in turn could be used to set up fertilizer recommendation in Pandeglang Regency, Banten.The research was conducted in January to December 2016, consisted of three steps, namely research preparation, field survey, laboratory and data  analysis.  The result indicated that P and K status was found varying from low to high. 44,296 ha of rice field indicated high P status, which was found in 33 subdisctricts, 5,362 ha have medium P status, spread out at 21 subdistricts and  rice fields with low P status spread in 8 subdistricts covering an area of 5,110 ha. Nutrient status of paddy fields with high-K status of 36,710 ha scattered in 30 subdistricts, while the rice field with medium K status spread in 21 sub-bistrict covered of 7,616 ha and status of low-K spread across 9 subdistricts covered of area of 1,333 ha. Based on the 3 status level of P and K, it is recommended 9 packages of P and K fertilizers. Hasil menunjukkan bahwa kelas status hara P dan K lahan sawah bervariasi dari rendah sampai tinggi. Sawah dengan status hara P tinggi seluas 44.296 ha tersebar di 33 kecamatan, sawah berstatus hara P sedang seluas 5.362 ha tersebar di 21 kecamatan dan sawah berstatus P rendah menyebar di 8 kecamatan seluas 5.110 ha. Sawah dengan status hara K tinggi seluas 36.710 ha tersebar di 30 kecamatan, sedangkan sawah berstatus hara K sedang menyebar di 21 kecamatan seluas 7.616 ha dan sawah berstatus K rendah menyebar di 9 kecamatan seluas 1.333 ha. Penentuan dosis pupuk lahan sawah berdasarkan status hara fosfor dan kalium di lahan sawah kabupaten pandeglang

ABSTRAK. Penelitian ini bertujuan mengetahui pengaruh umur buah dan faktor iklim terhadap serangan hama penggerek buah jeruk Citripestis sagitiferella. Penelitian ini dilakukan di Batu, Malang mulai bulan Agustus 2001 sampai dengan Juli 2002. Penelitian untuk mendapatkan data serangan penggerek buah jeruk pada berbagai umur buah dan iklim dilakukan dengan metode survei, sedangkan untuk mengetahui komposisi senyawa atsiri pada berbagai umur buah dilakukan dengan jalan ektraksi kulit buah dengan distilasi uap. Minyak hasil ekstraksi tersebut dianalisis komposisinya dengan metode kromatografi gas di Laboratorium Analisis Kimia dan Fisika Pusat Universitas Gadjah Mada, Yogyakarta. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa tingkat serangan C. sagitiferella di lapang dipengaruhi oleh perubahan konsentrasi dari komponen senyawa atsiri dari umur buah yang berbeda dan jumlah hari hujan. Komponen utama minyak atsiri jeruk, yaitu limonen secara sendiri tidak mempunyai pengaruh yang nyata terhadap preferensi ngengat C. sagitiferella, tetapi bersama komponen yang lain berpengaruh meningkatkan preferensi dan jumlah hari hujan yang tinggi meningkatkan tingkat serangan ngengat. Hasil penelitian ini bermanfaat untuk monitoring hama penggerek C. sagitiferella sehingga saat pengendalian yang tepat dapat ditentukan. ABSTRACT. Muryati. 2007. The Effect of Fruit Maturity and Climatic Factors on Damage Intensity of Citrus Fruit by Fruit borer Citripestis sagitiferella (Lepidoptera:Pyralidae).The objective of this research was to understand the effect of fruit maturity and climatic factors on damage intensity of citrus fruit by fruit borer C. sagitiferella. The experiment was conducted at Batu, Malang from August 2001 to July 2002. The experiment to observe the fruit damage by citrus fruit borer on several fruit maturity and climatic conditions were conducted by survey method, while the composition of volatile compounds was done by extraction of fruit peel through steam distilation. Characterization of volatile compounds composition were analized by gas chromatography at Laboratorium of Physic and Chemistry Analysis, Gadjah Mada University, Yogyakarta. The results showed that damage intensity of fruit caused by C. sagitiferella was influenced by concentration of the component of volatile compounds on the different fruit maturity and the number of the rainy days. Limonen as the dominant component on citrus volatile compounds did not affect the preference of C. sagitiferella moth, but along with other components increased the preference. The high number of rainy days increased fruit damages by the moth. The results of this research was usefull for minitoring programe of C. sagitiferella so that the right time of controlling the pest can exactly be decided.

Pengaruh Umur Buah dan Faktor Iklim terhadap Serangan Penggerek Buah Jeruk Citripestis sagitiferella Mr. (Lepidoptera:Pyralidae)

Environmental factors, especially climate, soil and pest attack, are limiting factors in citrus production. The purpose of this study was to determine the limiting factors on RGL citrus productivity. This research was carried out in 2019 in Pal VII Village, Bermani Ulu Raya District, Rejang Lebong Regency, Bengkulu Province with seven farmers at the research location. Data was collected from primary and secondary data consist of 10 years climate data, soil characteristics and citrus pest and diseases identification, which are then analyzed descriptively. The results showed that the productivity of RGL citrus in the research location was influenced by high rainfall during the fruiting period. Another limiting factor is the relatively low soil nutrient content because farmers generally do not apply fertilization technology that based on crop needs. Pests and diseases that had been potential reduced the productivity and quality of citrus fruits were fruit borers, fruit flies and scurvy, and climate factors also influenced the quality.

Analysis of limiting fators of RGL citrus fruit productivity (study case in Pal VII Village, Bermani Ulu Raya Subdistrict, Rejang Lebong District)

The problem with dry land is that it has a low fertility rate which causes low land productivity, so that production is low. This study aims to determine the suitability of upland rice land and soil fertility status in 3 sub-districts, namely Air Periukan, Pondok Kelapa, and Kerkap. The parameters observed were land characteristics which included climate data and soil physical and chemical properties. Data analysis was carried out by matching each land characteristic with the conditions for upland rice growth. The conclusion was based on the smallest value (minimum law) as a land suitability decision. The results showed that the suitability of the upland rice field in Air Periukan District, Pondok Kelapa district, and Kerkap district are included in S3 classes. Furthermore, the limiting factors for those districts are different. In the Air Periukan District, water availability and nutrient retention as limiting factors. However, only water availability is a limiting factor in Pondok Kelapa district. The land suitability in the Kerkap district for upland rice land has a limiting factor regarding nutrient retention and nutrient availability. The suggested alternative for soil cultivation in the research area is increasing C-organic and CEC, improving other nutrient content by providing manure, straw compost, and giving balanced inorganic fertilizers.
