One of the leading areas of cybersecurity of communication networks is considered – the introduction of preventive mechanisms, among which the most promising are the methods of active security analysis. These methods allow, in addition to timely detection of vulnerabilities of the target system (analyzed system), to confirm the possibility of their implementation, that is, to validate vulnerabilities by simulating the real actions of a potential attacker. The urgent need to validate vulnerabilities out of the many identified is caused by the fact that some of them can only be theoretical, while others are exploited using malicious scripts (exploits). At the same time, the process of validating vulnerabilities is practically not studied. That is why the work carried out an experimental study of the functioning of modern tools for exploiting vulnerabilities. Based on the observations, general quantitative characteristics of the vulnerability validation process were identified. A mathematical model for the analysis of the above characteristics based on Bernstein polynomials has been developed. It is the polynomial representation of the procedure for confirming the possibility of implementing the identified vulnerabilities that makes it possible to describe the dynamics of this process, taking into account the complex and volatile nature of the environment. Analytical dependencies are obtained for the number of cases of successful and negative confirmation of vulnerabilities. In particular, negative validation cases include simply failed attempts to validate vulnerabilities, as well as attempts that resulted in critical errors on the target system during the rational cycle of validating the identified vulnerabilities. The proposed dependencies make it possible to construct the probability distribution laws for the above characteristics of the vulnerability testing process.

Development of a method for checking vulnerabilities of a corporate network using Bernstein transformations

This paper considers the problem of the measure of the signal change from the Weyl-Nagy class of differentiable functions when the signal is filtered by means of weight functions. Asymptotic estimates characterizing the measure of the signal change of the specified class of Weyl-Nagy differentiable functions have been established. The difference in signal filtering described by both differentiable and non-differentiable functions has been shown. The established signal change estimates have been demonstrated by applying a specific low-pass filter to the given signal. This example illustrates the difference between differentiable and non-differentiable signal filtering. The behavior of the measure of signal change depending on the filter parameters and the maximum order of the derivative function characterizing the signal has been also shown.

Signal Change Estimation of One Important Class in the Filtering Process

The paper deals with problems of feeder-antenna matching performance assessment. It is outlined that studying this procedure using analytical methods is not sufficiently graphic and straightforward. To improve performing assessment of antenna-feeder matching characteristics, the authors propose using a computer simulation model of a transmission line loaded with specified impedance that can be both complex and real. The computer simulation model is based on trapezoidal rule, which is characterized by robustness as to error accumulation. The computer simulation model is used to study antenna-feeder matching scenarios for the feeder with 50-ohm real impedance and the antenna impedance ranging from 40 to 70 ohm. As the signal, the radio pulse of a certain duration is used. Computer simulation results have illustrated the characteristics of antenna-feeder mismatch with good clarity and precision. Thus, the trials showed not only the level of the signal reflected from the mismatched antenna, but also its form and the process of reflection in dynamics. The proposed method based on the computer simulation model can be used for improving antenna-feeder matching assessment in the fields of telecommunications and radars at microwave frequencies of operation.

Studying Antenna-Feeder Matching Effects with Help of Computer Simulation Model

The article investigates the problem of providing connectivity for a mobile MESH network of a group of Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (UAV). It is shown that the connectivity model should be built on a graph-tree, the edges of which satisfy the conditions of the connectivity function and ensure the continuity of information exchange. An example of the connectivity function for a dynamically variable graph-tree is given, which describes the connectivity in a mobile MESH network using UAV repeaters. Differences in UAV behavior when using different potential functions are shown. Modeling was carried out and conclusions were drawn regarding the possibility of using the developed model in the design of control systems for groups of UAVs.

Model of Connectivity in a Mobile MESH Network for a Group of Unmanned Aerial Vehicles

The article presents an analysis that showed the lack of scientific and methodological apparatus, universal devices or automated software packages to ensure the prompt implementation of traffic analysis and information transfer to automated systems or relevant specialists. A new developed method is proposed to ensure the prompt implementation of traffic analysis and information about situations that are suspicious and require further detailed analysis by automated systems or relevant specialists. The developed method allows to carry out operative (real-time) informing of responsible specialists, or transfer of necessary data to the automated complex, about deviation of character of traffic from network elements (separate telephone numbers, number capacities, trunk groups, etc.) which is fixed in primary data. Deviations, the nature of traffic from the elements of network parameters are measured from the usual traffic of the telephone network relative to these elements. This method has a methodology that takes into account practical recommendations for constant coefficients, calculations. These coefficients are selected by calculation and empirical. This reduces the response of the system using the developed technique to the deviation of the communication parameters.

Development Of A Method For Detecting Deviations In The Nature Of Traffic From The Elements Of The Communication Network

The article presents a developed method for determining random radio signals. Random signals can be signals from hidden means of obtaining information. The signal is considered as a random process. The description of such signals is based on probability theory and the theory of random functions. In the practice of analysis of random radio signals, static methods based on the theory of stationary random functions have become widespread. The existing models of a stationary random process are not adequate for a large number of random processes, especially for processes that are dynamic in nature and are observed during a finite time interval. The developed method allows to detect signals from hidden means of obtaining information with greater efficiency. The novelty of the method is to determine the deviation of the main parameters of the signals from the function of the sample. The method is based on determining the function of a sample of signals of a given radio range. The function of the sample is obtained as the implementation of the smoothing function of a random process, by the method of least squares using the principle of sliding smoothing. It is proposed to determine the signals of the means of covert receipt of information by the instantaneous deviation of the parameters of random signals. To determine the signals of the means of covert obtaining information, it is proposed to determine the deviation of the amplitude of the random signals from the amplitude of the signals of the sample function, then, if necessary, to determine the deviation of the signal phases. So, the effectiveness of the method is achieved by determining two parameters of the deviation of the amplitude and phase. This makes it possible to detect random signals with a higher probability. Determining the function of the sample of the required radio band significantly increases the probability of determining random signals, by reducing the scanning time of a given radio band, by excluding known signals from the additional software analysis of a given radio band.
