Effect of γ-Al2O3 hydrothermal treatment on the formation and properties of platinum sites in Pt/γ-Al2O3 catalysts

TL;DR: In this article, the effect of HMT on the surface functional cover of a hexachloroplatinate was investigated and the formation of outer-sphere complexes was characterized by a lower reduction temperature.
Journal ArticleDOI

Mechanism of Pd/C-catalyzed hydrogenation of furfural under hydrothermal conditions

TL;DR: In this paper, the mechanism of reactions occurring in the furfural hydrogenation under hydrothermal conditions over the 1% Pd/CNTs catalyst was investigated, and it was found that the process is realized through four pathways including various reductive and acid catalyzed furan ring opening reactions.
Book ChapterDOI

FTIR Spectroscopy of Adsorbed Probe Molecules for Analyzing the Surface Properties of Supported Pt (Pd) Catalysts

TL;DR: One of the most available and well-developed methods for studying the composition and structure of the surface functional groups of supported metal catalysts is vibrational spectroscopy, in particular with the use of adsorbed probe molecules.
