A vehicle power transmission device equipped with a crank type transmission unit is provided in which since a first sprocket provided on an input shaft upstream portion and a second sprocket provided on an output shaft downstream portion are connected by an endless chain, and a dog clutch is disposed between the input shaft main body portion and the input shaft upstream portion, when the input shaft main body portion is seized and becomes non-rotatable, the dog clutch is disengaged so as to detach the input shaft upstream portion from the input shaft main body portion, and the driving force of an engine is transmitted to the output shaft downstream portion via the input shaft upstream portion, the first sprocket, the endless chain and the second sprocket, thereby enabling the vehicle to travel in the minimum necessary way.

Vehicle power transmission device

Provided is a clutch-contained pulley unit capable of cushioning a shocking torque input. A one-way clutch (10) is fitted in the inner side of a pulley (1), and has its inner ring (13) formed of an outer cylinder (13a) and an inner cylinder (13b). A cylindrical elastic member (20) is fitted and fixed between the outer cylinder (13a) and the inner cylinder (13b). When the pulley (1) rotates in one direction, an engagement element (18) of the one-way clutch (10) is made to engage the confronting faces of an outer ring (11) and the outer cylinder (13a) so that the rotation of the outer ring (11) is transmitted through the engagement element (18) to the outer cylinder (13a). By the rotation of the outer cylinder (13a), the elastic member (20) is elastically deformed to transmit the rotation of the outer cylinder (13a) to the inner cylinder (13b), so that the shocking torque to be loaded on the pulley (1) is cushioned by the elastic deformation of the elastic member (20).

Clutch-contained pulley unit

An isolator comprising a one-way clutch engaged with a hub structure, a belt engaging member, a resilient member operationally engaged between the one-way clutch and the belt engaging member, the belt engaging member engaged with the hub structure through a first and second ball bearing where by a radial load is transmitted through the first and second ball bearings, and the one-way clutch disposed between the first and second ball bearings such that no radial load is transmitted through the one-way clutch.

The free-wheeling unit has a free-wheeling ring, a free-wheeling star wheel, a clamping body (4), a retainer (5) and a damping element (6). The free-wheeling star wheel has locking surfaces, and the clamping body is arranged between the free-wheeling ring and the free-wheeling star wheel. Each clamping body is arranged between a pair of the locking surfaces. The damping element is arranged and supported separately to the retainer. An independent claim is included for a wave spring for a damping element of a free-wheeling unit with free ends.

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pulley device with a built-in one-way clutch, capable of providing further satisfactory clutch performance by reducing the friction between a spring and a retainer. SOLUTION: The device comprises a sleeve to which a rotating shaft is fitted; a pulley disposed on the radially outside of the sleeve concentrically with the sleeve; a one-way clutch provided between the pulley and the outer circumferential surface of the sleeve, the clutch transmitting a rotating force between the pulley and the sleeve only when one of the pulley and the sleeve tends to relatively rotate in a predetermined direction to the other; and a support bearing provided in a position axially separated from the one-way clutch between the outer circumferential surface of the sleeve and the inner circumferential surface of the pulley, the support bearing allowing relative rotation of the pulley and the sleeve while bearing a radial load applied to the pulley. A spring 19 for pressing a roller 17 of the one-way clutch 13 in an engaging direction is formed of a plate spring, and the spring 19 is formed so that the radial width W1 of a contact part 28 with the roller 17 is smaller than the radial width W2 of a bent part 26. Pulley device with built-in one-way clutch

A pulley device with a built-in one-way clutch, in which an engagement failure of the one-way clutch can be prevented even if torque and angular velocity inputted in a pulley is excessive. A pulley device (40) with a built-in one-way clutch has a pulley (42) having on its outer peripheral surface a belt groove (42a), a sleeve (41) fixed to a rotating shaft and rotatable with the shaft, a one-way clutch (43) provided between the pulley (42) and the sleeve (41) and allowing the transmission of rotational force between the pulley (42) and the sleeve (41) only when either the pulley (42) or the sleeve (41) tends to rotate relative to the other in a predetermined direction, and elastic members (55, 56) arranged, as separate bodies from the one-way clutch (43), between the pulley (42) and the sleeve (41).
