Simultaneous synthesis and consolidation of chromium carbides (Cr3C2, Cr7C3 and Cr23C6) by pulsed electric-current pressure sintering
TL;DR: Chromium carbides (Cr 3 C 2, Cr 7 C 3 and Cr 23 C 6 ) have been synthesized and consolidated simultaneously from mixtures of Cr and amorphous carbon powders by pulsed electric-current pressure sintering (PECPS).
Journal ArticleDOI
Formation, characterization and sintering of alkoxy-derived bismuth vanadate
TL;DR: In this paper, the electrical conductivity of the BiVO 4 is analyzed in terms of ionic conductivity due to oxygen ion vacancies, and the results show that the voltage at 150° to 550°C and 29.4 MPa are obtained.
Journal ArticleDOI
Novel synthesis of Y3Al5O12 (YAG) leading to transparent ceramics
TL;DR: A hexagonal solid solution with a=0.3678 nm and c=1.046 nm crystallizes at 880-935°C from an amorphous material prepared in the mole ratio Y3+/Al3+=3:5 by a sol-gel technique using hydrazine as discussed by the authors.
Journal ArticleDOI
Formation and Transformation of ZnTiO3
TL;DR: In this paper, a low-temperature form of ZnTiO3 was determined, denoted as Zn2Ti,3O8, which has a cubic unit cell with a = 0.8408 nm.
Journal ArticleDOI
Sol-gel-derived TiO2/poly(dimethylsiloxane) hybrid films and their photocatalytic activities
TL;DR: In this paper, a poly(methyl methacrylate) (PMMA) hybrid poly(dimethylsiloxane) (PDMS) hybrid films with various ratios were prepared by a sol-gel method, which showed good photocatalytic activity for decomposition of methylene blue and acetaldehyde.
