Software-defined network (SDN) has become one of the most important architectures for the management of largescale complex networks, which may require repolicing or reconfigurations from time to time. SDN achieves easy repolicing by decoupling the control plane from data plane. Thus, the network routers/switches just simply forward packets by following the flow table rules set by the control plane. Currently, OpenFlow is the most popular SDN protocol/standard and has a set of design specifications. Although SDN/OpenFlow is a relatively new area, it has attracted much attention from both academia and industry. In this paper, we will conduct a comprehensive survey of the important topics in SDN/OpenFlow implementation, including the basic concept, applications, language abstraction, controller, virtualization, quality of service, security, and its integration with wireless and optical networks. We will compare the pros and cons of different schemes and discuss the future research trends in this exciting area. This survey can help both industry and academia R&D people to understand the latest progress of SDN/OpenFlow designs.

A Survey on Software-Defined Network and OpenFlow: From Concept to Implementation

In this paper, A Novel 1 to 4 modified Wilkinson power divider operating over the frequency range of (3 GHz to 8 GHz) is proposed. The design perception of the proposed divider based on two different stages and printed on FR4 (Epoxy laminate material) with the thickness of 1.57mm and є r =4.3 respectively. The modified design of this power divider including curved corners instead of the sharp edges and some modification in the length of matching stubs. In addition, this paper contain the power divider with equal power split at all ports, reasonable insertion loss, acceptable return loss below −10 dB, good impedance matching at all ports and satisfactory isolation performance has been obtained over the mentioned frequency range. The design concept and optimization development is practicable through CST simulation software.

Design and analysis of 1-to-4 wilkinson power divider for antenna array feeding network

This paper illustrates the classification of EMG signals through design and optimization of Artificial Neural Network (ANN). Different types of ANN models are basically structured with many interconnected network elements which can develop pattern classification strategies based on a set of input/training data. The ANN models work in parallel thus providing higher computational performance than traditional classifiers which function sequentially. The EMG signals obtained for different kinds of hand motions, which further denoised and processed to extract the features. Extracted time and time-frequency based feature sets are used to train the neural network. A back-propagation neural network with Levenberg-Marquardt training algorithm has been utilized for the classification of EMG signals. The results show that the designed network is optimized for 10 hidden neurons with 7 input features and able to efficiently classify single channel EMG signals with an average success rate of 88.4%.

EMG motion pattern classification through design and optimization of Neural Network

Research on Text-to-speech technology has received the interest of professional researchers in many languages which is a consequence of wide range of applications where Text-To-Speech is implemented. However, Arabic language, spoken by millions of people as an official language in 24 different countries, gained less attention compared with other languages despite the fact that it has a religious value for more than 1.6 billion Muslim worldwide. These facts exhibit the need for a high quality, small size, and completely free Arabic TTS with the ability of future improvements. The vowelized written text of Arabic language carries the pronunciation rules with limited exceptions, so rule-based system with an exception dictionary for words that fail with those letter-to-phoneme rules may be a much more reasonable approach. This paper is a development of a rule-based text- to- speech Hybrid synthesis system which is a combination formant and concatenation techniques with acceptable naturalness. The simulation results of the system shows good quality in handling word, phrase, and sentence level compared to other available Arabic TTS systems. The accuracy of the overall system is 96%. Further improvements need to be done for stressed syllable position and intonation.

Development of an Arabic text-to-speech system

It has been found to increase the production of the stress that results overstimulate brains and cause mental fog or scrambled thinking. However, stress management should start far before the stress start causing illnesses. In this paper, a real-time personalized stress detection system from physiological signals is introduced. It is based on Pulse rate and temperature. That could record a person's stress levels.
