A versatile indirect detector design for hard X-ray microimaging

TL;DR: In this article, a modular-based indirect X-ray detector is introduced, which offers several advantages: it can be adapted for different cameras, and can be trimmed to work either with (quasi-)monochromatic illumination and the correspondingly lower absorbed dose or with intense white beam irradiation.
Journal ArticleDOI

A novel epitaxially grown LSO-based thin-film scintillator for micro-imaging using hard synchrotron radiation.

TL;DR: It is shown that, by using adapted growth and doping parameters as well as a dedicated substrate, the scintillation behaviour of a LSO-based thin crystal together with the high stopping power of the material allows for high-performance indirect X-ray detection.
Journal ArticleDOI

Epitaxial growth of gadolinium and lutetium-based aluminum perovskite thin films for X-ray micro-imaging applications

TL;DR: In this paper, the liquid phase epitaxy-based development of new scintillating screens for high-resolution X-ray imaging is related to the liquid-phase epitaxy.
Journal ArticleDOI

Single crystal lutetium oxide thin film scintillators for X-ray imaging

TL;DR: In this paper, the first results of the development of single crystal thin films using the liquid phase epitaxy technique are reported and several films with thickness in the range 0.5-22 μm were grown and characterized using X-ray diffraction and electron microscopy techniques.
