Optically induced metastable paramagnetic states in amorphous semiconductors
TL;DR: In this article, the Optically induced metastable paramagnetic centers were found to be located in the forbidden gap of these amorphous semiconductors, and the existence of localized gap states was confirmed by mid-gap optical absorption and electron spin resonance.
Journal ArticleDOI
Temperature and frequency dependences of the far-infrared and microwave optical absorption in amorphous materials
U. Strom,P. C. Taylor +1 more
TL;DR: In this article, it was shown that the magnitude of the absorption in amorphous solids over the entire frequency range is strongly enhanced (by an order of magnitude) over the absorption of the corresponding crystalline solids.
Journal ArticleDOI
H1NMR ina-Si
W. E. Carlos,P. C. Taylor +1 more
TL;DR: In this paper, the origins of the two NMR lines seen in almost all samples of $a$-Si: H are discussed and solid-echo measurements are presented which indicate that these two components are due to spatially isolated groups of protons.
Journal ArticleDOI
Nuclear quadrupole resonance in amorphous and crystalline As 2 S 3
Mark Rubinstein,P. C. Taylor +1 more
TL;DR: In this paper, the temperature dependence of the resonance frequencies, the asymmetry parameters, and the orientation of the principal axes of the electric field grandient with respect to the crystal axes have been obtained for crystalline and amorphous nuclear quadrupole resonances.
