Evaluation of EDM process parameters on titanium alloy through Taguchi approach

TL;DR: In this article, the impact of variables for machining, such as spark on time, discharge current, and voltage based on the Taguchi strategy method was examined and optimized for Titanium machining.
Journal ArticleDOI

Influence of Optimization Techniques on Wire Electrical Discharge Machining of Ti–6Al–2Sn–4Zr–2Mo Alloy using Modeling Approach

TL;DR: In this article, the best essential parameters for surface roughness were pulse on time, pulse off time, and a combination of pulse on-time and pulse off-time with a percentage contribution of 22.71% and 36.88% respectively.
Journal ArticleDOI

Multiresponse Optimization of Wire Electrical Discharge Machining Parameters for Ti-6Al-2Sn-4Zr-2Mo (α-β) Alloy Using Taguchi-Grey Relational Approach

TL;DR: In this article , the results show that a material removal rate of 0.293mm3/min was obtained with factors of 10 µs pulse on duration, 7 m/min of wire feed, and 12 g of wire tension (the higher the better).
Journal ArticleDOI

Machinability of Titanium alloy 6242 by AWJM through Taguchi method

TL;DR: In this paper, the optimization of the process variables of Titanium alloy AWJM (Ti- 6Al- 2Sn- 4Zr- 2Mo) was explored, where the AWJM process parameters such as water jet strength, traverse speed, and standoff distance were studied against the material removal rate, surface roughness, kerf angle.
