Effects of Ce Concentration in Scintillation Properties ofLaBr3:Ce
Jaroslaw Glodo,William W. Moses,William M. Higgins,E.V.D. van Loef,P. Wong,S.E. Derenzo,M. Weber,K.S. Shah +7 more
Proceedings ArticleDOI
Effects of Ce concentration on scintillation properties of LaBr/sub 3/:Ce
Jaroslaw Glodo,William W. Moses,William M. Higgins,E.V.D. van Loef,P. Wong,S.E. Derenzo,M. Weber,Kanai S. Shah +7 more
TL;DR: In this article, the authors investigated the scintillation properties of LaBr/sub 3/:Ce as a function of Ce concentration and found that the light output does not change with Ce concentration up to 30% and depends mostly on the crystal and measurement quality.
Journal ArticleDOI
LuI/sub 3/:Ce-a new scintillator for gamma ray spectroscopy
Kanai S. Shah,Jaroslaw Glodo,M. Klugerman,William E. Higgins,T. Gupta,P. Wong,William W. Moses,S.E. Derenzo,M. Weber,Pieter Dorenbos +9 more
TL;DR: In this paper, a new cerium doped, high atomic number scintillator, LuI/sub 3/:Ce, for gamma ray spectroscopy was reported.
Journal ArticleDOI
Bridgman growth of LaBr3:Ce and LaCl3:Ce crystals for high-resolution gamma-ray spectrometers
William M. Higgins,Jaroslaw Glodo,E.V.D. van Loef,M. Klugerman,T. Gupta,Leonard J. Cirignano,P. Wong,Kanai S. Shah +7 more
TL;DR: In this paper, the authors report on the results of vertical Bridgman crystal growth and characterization of Ce-doped LaBr 3 and LaCl 3 crystals and describe the handling and processing procedures developed for these oxygen and moisture sensitive materials.
Journal ArticleDOI
High energy resolution scintillation spectrometers
TL;DR: In this article, a cerium doped scintillator, LaBr/sub 3/:Ce, was used for gamma ray spectroscopy and achieved an energy resolution of 2.7% at room temperature for 662 keV gamma rays.
