Comparison of hepatitis B vaccine coverage and effectiveness among urban and rural Mongolian 2-year-olds.
James S. Edstam,Nyamkhuu Dulmaa,Pagbajabyn Nymadawa,Arslan Rinchin,Janchiv Khulan,Ann Marie Kimball +5 more
TL;DR: The Mongolian infant vaccination program for hepatitis B is successfully reducing the rate of chronic carriage in the immunized generation, however, vaccine response among rural subjects is less than that among urban subjects.
Journal ArticleDOI
Seasonal influenza vaccine policies, recommendations and use in the World Health Organization's Western Pacific Region.
Dominic E. Dwyer,Ian G. Barr,Aeron C. Hurt,Anne Kelso,Patrick C. Reading,Sheena G. Sullivan,Philippe Buchy,Hongshi Yu,Zheng J,Shu Y,Wang D,Lam,Aguon A,Oliva Rq,Takato Odagiri,Masato Tashiro,Verasahib K,Mohd Apandi Yusof,Pagbajabyn Nymadawa,Alexander B,Ann-Claire Gourinat,Jean-Paul Grangeon,Lance C. Nilles,Babatunde Olowokure,Jeffrey Partridge +55 more
TL;DR: In light of the new WHO position paper on influenza vaccines published in 2012 and the increasing availability of country-specific data, countries and areas should consider reviewing or developing their seasonal influenza vaccination policies to reduce morbidity and mortality associated with annual epidemics and as part of ongoing efforts for pandemic preparedness.
Journal ArticleDOI
Deep phylogenetic analysis of haplogroup G1 provides estimates of SNP and STR mutation rates on the human Y-chromosome and reveals migrations of iranic speakers
Oleg Balanovsky,Maxat Zhabagin,A. T. Agdzhoyan,Marina Chukhryaeva,Valery Zaporozhchenko,Olga Utevska,Gareth Highnam,Zhaxylyk Sabitov,Elliott Greenspan,Khadizhat Dibirova,R. A. Skhalyakho,Marina V. Kuznetsova,S. M. Koshel,Yuldash Yusupov,Pagbajabyn Nymadawa,Zhaxybay Zhumadilov,Elvira Pocheshkhova,Marc Haber,Pierre Zalloua,Levon Yepiskoposyan,Anna Dybo,Chris Tyler-Smith,Elena Balanovska +22 more
TL;DR: “clan-based” approach to estimating the mutation rate provides a third, middle way between direct farther-to-son comparisons and using archeologically known migrations, whose dates are subject to revision and of uncertain relationship to genetic events.
Journal Article
Rare deep-rooting Y chromosome lineages in humans
Michael E. Weale,Tina Shah,Abigail L. Jones,John Greenhalgh,James F. Wilson,Pagbajabyn Nymadawa,David Zeitlin,Bruce Connell,Neil Bradman,Mark G. Thomas +9 more
TL;DR: A very rare deep-rooting haplogroup within the YAP clade was reported in this paper, which is the least derived YAP haplotype according to currently known binary markers.
Journal ArticleDOI
Rare deep-rooting Y chromosome lineages in humans: lessons for phylogeography.
Michael E. Weale,Tina Shah,Abigail L. Jones,John Greenhalgh,James F. Wilson,Pagbajabyn Nymadawa,David Zeitlin,Bruce Connell,Neil Bradman,Mark G. Thomas +9 more
TL;DR: A new, very rare deep-rooting haplogroup within the YAP clade is reported, found so far in only five Nigerians, and is the least-derived YAP haplogroups according to currently known binary markers.
