TL;DR: The proceedings of the 2019 Les Houches workshop on physics at TeV colliders as discussed by the authors dealt with new developments for high precision Standard Model calculations, the sensitivity of parton distribution functions to the experimental inputs, new developments in jet substructure techniques and a detailed examination of gluon fragmentation at the LHC, issues in the theoretical description of the production of Standard Model Higgs bosons and how to relate experimental measurements.

Simplified Template Cross Sections - Stage 1.1
Nicolas Berger,Claudia Bertella,Thomas P. Calvet,Milene Calvetti,Valerio Dao,Marco Delmastro,Michael Duehrssen-Debling,Paolo Francavilla,Y. Haddad,Oleh Kivernyk,Jonathon M. Langford,Changqiao Li,Giovanni Marchiori,Predrag Milenovic,Carlo Enrico Pandini,Edward Scott,Frank J. Tackmann,Kerstin Tackmann,Lorenzo Viliani,Meng Xiao +19 more
TL;DR: Simplified Template Cross Sections (STXS) have been adopted by the LHC experiments as a common framework for Higgs measurements as discussed by the authors. But their purpose is not to reduce the theoretical uncertainties directly folded into the measurements as much as possible, while at the same time allowing for the combination of the measurements between different decay channels as well as between experiments.
