A review of risk prediction models in cardiovascular disease: conventional approach vs. artificial intelligent approach.

By reviewing domestic and international papers, this study examines various fields in which drones are used, and based on the results, fields are suggested in which drones can be used for the work of firefighters. Overall, the research results show that drones are most commonly used for search (51%), disaster and fire monitoring (35%), and delivery (14%). Specifically, in the search field, using a drone is more efficient in terms of manpower, equipment, time, and cost than using people, which is the current practice. Secondly, in disaster and fire monitoring, drones can analyze and identify disasters and fire sites in real time. Therefore, it was confirmed that the use of drones is helpful in securing the safety of firefighters and identifying a disaster site. Third, research in logistics shows that drones can secure the so-called golden time in emergency situations by delivering rescue and relief supplies, emergency medicine, and blood in short order. In a rapidly changing disaster environment, and considering aging in firefighters, this study is meaningful in that it promotes drone utilization in the firefighting field by investigating basic data on drone utilization plans.

A study on the application of drone in firefight field

We propose a framework to determine a secure distance between a drone with an ultrahigh-frequency band radio frequency identification (UHF band RFID) reader and metallic objects affixed with RFID tags. The secure distance avoids order changes in received signal strength indicator (RSSI) values among the identified RFID tags in the field of view of the RFID reader. This distance enables a drone operator to securely operate the drone while identifying the RFID tag on the front of an object based on the measurements of RSSI values. An RFID tag located on the front of an object provides the maximum RSSI value. However, multipath propagation alters the RSSI values. Therefore, a framework is needed to determine a secure distance considering the multipath effects. Although inventory management systems based on drones and RFID systems have been proposed to date, this article establishes a framework to determine the secure distance. In the proposed framework, RFID tag and reader radiation patterns and multipath propagation effects were considered. The proposed framework was evaluated theoretically and experimentally. To evaluate and demonstrate the secure distance, we measured the RSSI values of two RFID tags attached to a metallic balcony. The height from the ground and spacing of the two RFID tags were 1.5 m and 1.3 m, respectively. In this environment, the secure distance was 3.8 m. The experimentally obtained distance that avoids order changes in RSSI values corresponded well with that obtained by this framework. The proposed secure distance is crucial when either drones or robots are introduced to inventory management systems.

A Framework to Determine Secure Distances for Either Drones or Robots Based Inventory Management Systems

This work proposes a fully integrated ecosystem composed of three main components with a complex goal: to implement an autonomous system with a UAV requiring little to no maintenance and capable of flying autonomously. For this goal, was developed an autonomous UAV, an online platform capable of its management and a landing platform to enclose and charge the UAV after flights. Furthermore, a precision landing algorithm ensures no need for human intervention for long-term operations.

Precision Landing for Low-Maintenance Remote Operations with UAVs

The purpose of this study was to present a method for the application of drones through analysis after surveying Jeollanam-do firefighters regarding the recognition, operation, field of application, necessary field of work, and the need for education on fire drones. As a result of the survey, 80.29% of respondents were found to be willing to operate drones, and the fields of work for which drones were considered the most necessary were in the order of rescue, fire suppression, life safety, first aid, and others. Besides, 77.38% of respondents thought that drones could contribute to the prevention of safety accidents for firefighters, and 70.13% of respondents thought that it would be appropriate to recruit firefighting drone operators through changing positions, and respondents chose firefighters in their 40s as the most suitable age group for firefighting drone operation. Also, 82.84% of respondents said they would participate in drone training, and they recognized that the use of drones could contribute to solving the physical problems caused by the aging of firefighters, and that drone training would also help firefighters manage their retirement. The fields where firefighting drones are used were investigated in the order of searching for requestors, checking on-site information, and checking on-site prior risk. In this study, a difference analysis for each group was performed according to the drone operation experience. There was a statistically significant difference in the items of safety measures for requestors. The results of variance analysis by work experience confirmed that there were statistically significant differences in a total of eight items, including four items related to the field of use of drones, and the age group of the drone operating crew, and whether or not to help retirement management.

A Study on the Awareness of Firefighters on the Introduction of Drones and the Operation and Application of drones - Focusing on the Firefighters of Jeollanam-do

Ambulance getting stuck in traffic has resulted in countless precious lives. Statistics have shown that especially in the Indian traffic conditions the chances of such scenarios are at peak. In this paper we are providing a solution to speed up the delivery procedure of first aid kit in situations including but not limited to (i) Ambulance getting stuck in traffic, (ii) War torn regions with limited medical supply etc. From the minor ailment to the more serious injury a first aid kit can help reduce the risk of infection or the severity of the injury. With drones changing the face of human technology, it can be used in the medical field to assert timely delivery of essential first aid to people in not easily accessible regions. When the user books an ambulance for the victim, if the ambulance is stuck in traffic, Automated drones can deliver personalized first aid kit to the user location so that the victim can be diagnosed by the remedy medicines with assistance of doctor using web app till the ambulance arrives to the victim location and takes the victim to hospital. Users can also request pharmacy for immediate remedy medicines in case of emergency.
