Antinociceptive activity of Amazonian Copaiba oils.
Niele de Matos Gomes,Claudia M. Rezende,Silvia Paredes Fontes,Maria Eline Matheus,Patricia Dias Fernandes +4 more
TL;DR: This work compared the antinociceptive activity of two Amazonian Copaiba oils administered by oral route using peripheral, spinal, spinal and supra-spinal models to indicate that CopAiba oils demonstrate peripheral and central antinOCiceptive effect.
Journal ArticleDOI
In vivo and in vitro studies on the anticancer activity of Copaifera multijuga hayne and its fractions.
Sylvia R. M. Lima,Valdir Florêncio da Veiga Junior,Herick B. Christo,Angelo C. Pinto,Patricia Dias Fernandes +4 more
TL;DR: The action of COR and its fractions on the inhibition of lung metastasis and tumour growth induced by B16F10 melanoma cells in mice and cytotoxicity in vitro is evaluated using Trypan Blue exclusion method and MTT conversion.
Journal ArticleDOI
Investigation of anti-inflammatory and antinociceptive activities of Lantana trifolia
Glauce N. Silva,Fabíola R. Martins,Maria Eline Matheus,Suzana G. Leitão,Patricia Dias Fernandes +4 more
TL;DR: Support is provided for the use of Lantana trifolia in relieving inflammatory pain by developing a significant increase on tail flick antinociceptive index, indicating a spinal antinOCiceptive effect.
Journal ArticleDOI
Anti-Inflammatory Properties and Chemical Characterization of the Essential Oils of Four Citrus Species
Jorge Luis Amorim,Daniel Luiz Reis Simas,Mariana Martins Gomes Pinheiro,Daniela Sales Alviano Moreno,Celuta S. Alviano,Antonio Jorge Ribeiro da Silva,Patricia Dias Fernandes +6 more
TL;DR: The results indicate that these EOs from C. limon, C. aurantifolia and C.Limonia have a significant anti-inflammatory effect; however, care should be taken with C. AurantIFolia, as it was observed that it induced myelotoxicity in mice.
Journal ArticleDOI
Inhibitory effects of Euterpe oleracea Mart. on nitric oxide production and iNOS expression
Maria Eline Matheus,Sidnei Bessa de Oliveira Fernandes,C.S. Silveira,V.P. Rodrigues,Fábio de Sousa Menezes,Patricia Dias Fernandes +5 more
TL;DR: Evaluated fractions from Euterpe oleracea showed that fractions obtained from fruits were the most potent in inhibiting NO production, followed by those from flowers and spikes, and only in high doses, did some fractions reduce cell viability.
