Journal ArticleDOI

Low-dose dobutamine echocardiography detects reversible dysfunction after thrombolytic therapy of acute myocardial infarction.

TL;DR: Dobutamine-responsive wall motion and non-Q-wave infarction may be very useful for accurately identifying reversible dysfunction early after thrombolytic therapy for acute MI.
Journal ArticleDOI

Regional wall motion index for infarct and noninfarct regions after reperfusion in acute myocardial infarction: comparison with global wall motion index.

TL;DR: Although both global and regional indexes effectively demonstrate early recovery of left ventricular function, the regional index for Infarct regions is higher than the global index and effectively distinguishes between infarct and noninfarct segments.
Journal ArticleDOI

Evaluation of Patterns of Perfusion and Metabolism in Dobutamine-Responsive Myocardium

TL;DR: Improvement of wall motion at low and high doses of dobutamine was highly correlated with myocardial viability on PET and was more common in myocardium with normal perfusion than in those with mildly reduced tracer uptake.
Journal ArticleDOI

Comparison of regional and global left ventricular function by serial echocardiograms after reperfusion in acute myocardial infarction.

TL;DR: Overall there was a significant improvement in regional wall scores and percent of functioning myocardium and only a trend toward improvement when global function was assessed by ejection fraction, but there was no trend toward improved when global functions were assessed by ejected fraction.
Journal ArticleDOI

Role of cardiac catheterization and percutaneous coronary intervention in the preoperative assessment and management of patients before orthotopic liver transplantation

TL;DR: Increases in the frequencies of CATH and PCI corresponded to significant reductions in postoperative MIs and 1‐year all‐cause mortality rates, and a significant improvement in the overall survival rate over the 3 analyzed time periods was noted.
