Journal ArticleDOI

Preparation and characterization of paramagnetic polychelates and their protein conjugates.

TL;DR: The gadolinium complexes of poly-L-lysine-poly and poly-4,7,10-tetraazacyclodododecane and their conjugates with human serum albumin (HSA) have been prepared and characterized and the molar relaxities were 2-3-fold higher than those of the corresponding monomeric metal complexes.

Polychelants containing macrocyclic chelant moieties

TL;DR: In this article, a plurality of macrocyclic chelant moieties, e.g., DOTA residues, are conjugated to a polyamine backbone molecule, such as polylysine, to produce a site-specific polychelate.

Adducts of macrocyclic chelants

TL;DR: In this article, a macrocyclic chelant can be formed by the process of dispersing a carboxylic macro-cyclic Chelant in a polar, anhydrous solvent, adding a base with a pKa sufficient to remove all carboxyl protons, and chilling the reaction mixture to between about 5°C and 55°C above the freezing point of the solvent.
Journal ArticleDOI

Ionic versus nonionic MR imaging contrast media: operational definitions.

TL;DR: An experimental rationale is provided to differentiate between the terms ionic and nonionic for magnetic resonance (MR) imaging contrast media such as gadodiamide and gadopentetate dimeglumine.
