TL;DR: In six patients a lytic destructive lesion of bone was evident and CT scans in three patients demonstrated diffusely enhancing lesions, and angiography was characterized by multiple irregular tumor vessels, an intense prolonged blush, and the absence of early draining veins.
Abstract: Meningeal hemangiopericytomas are rare but aggressive tumors. All eight patients in this series developed recurrences, three with distant metastases. In six patients a lytic destructive lesion of bone was evident. CT scans in three patients demonstrated diffusely enhancing lesions. No tumor calcification was present. In five of six patients angiography was characterized by multiple irregular tumor vessels, an intense prolonged blush, and the absence of early draining veins. Differentiation of these tumors from meningiomas is discussed.

TL;DR: A malignant epidermoid tumor invading the fourth ventricle had histologic features that indicated malignant transformation in a benign epiderMoid cyst, revealing both pathologic enhancement and a low attenuation zone.
Abstract: A malignant epidermoid tumor invading the fourth ventricle had histologic features that indicated malignant transformation in a benign epidermoid cyst. The computed tomographic (CT) findings correlated precisely with the histologic features, revealing both pathologic enhancement and a low attenuation zone. The spectrum of described CT findings in intracranial epidermoids is reviewed and contrasted with the appearance encountered in the present case.

TL;DR: Two adults presented with frontal lobe masses with large cysts with contrast-enhancing mural nodules and enhancing circumferential rims that disclosed a meningioma and neoplastic cells were found in the distant cyst walls.
Abstract: ✓ Two adults presented with frontal lobe masses. As visualized by computerized tomography, both lesions were large cysts with contrast-enhancing mural nodules and enhancing circumferential rims. En bloc resections of the mural nodules and cyst walls were performed. Pathological evaluation of each nodule disclosed a meningioma, and neoplastic cells were found in the distant cyst walls. Although the walls of large cysts associated with some meningiomas have been composed of reactive glia or collagen, the neoplastic character of the cysts in the present cases underscores the need for resection and careful pathological evaluation of the large cysts associated with meningiomas.
