Influence of particle sizes and environmental conditions on high temperature pyrolysis of cellulosic material. I. Theoretical

TL;DR: In this paper, a mathematical model based on unreacted core shrinking model is developed to describe the pyrolysis phenomena of the cellulosic materials in the temperature range of 700-1470 °K.
Journal ArticleDOI

Sulphur transformation and removal for Western Kentucky coals

TL;DR: Inhibition isotherms, which are pseudo-equilibria between sulphur in the char and gaseous hydrogen sulphide, were measured at 600 and 870 °C as discussed by the authors.

Integrated process for the production of hydrocarbons from coal or the like in which fines from gasifier are coked with heavy hydrocarbon oil

TL;DR: In this article, the coke particles are fed to the gasifier for the production of additional gaseous products which can be used as fuel, employed as a source of hydrogen for coal liquefaction operations, or utilized for the generation of hydrocarbon liquids.
Journal ArticleDOI

Methylation of Benzene by Methane-13C over Zeolitic Catalysts at 400 .degree.C

TL;DR: In this paper, an isotopic study utilizing methane-13 C showed that the product toluene and xylenes formed from its reaction at high pressure (5.5 MPa, 400 °C) with benzene, over Cu/beta and H-beta zeolites, contain substantially methyl- 13 C substituents.
