Quality of life after total laparoscopic hysterectomy versus total abdominal hysterectomy for stage I endometrial cancer (LACE): a randomised trial
Monika Janda,Val Gebski,Alison Brand,Russel Hogg,Tom Jobling,Russel Land,T. Manolitsas,Anthony McCartney,Marcelo Nascimento,Deborah Neesham,James L. Nicklin,Martin K. Oehler,Geoff Otton,Lewis Perrin,Stuart Salfinger,Ian Hammond,Yee Leung,Tom Walsh,Peter Sykes,Hextan Y.S. Ngan,Andrea Garrett,Michael Laney,T.Y. Ng,Karfai Tam,Karen Chan,C. David Wrede,Selvan Pather,Bryony Simcock,Rhonda Farrell,Andreas Obermair +29 more
TL;DR: The LACE trial as mentioned in this paper compared laparoscopic hysterectomy (TLH) with TAH for stage I endometrial cancer (LACE) in 19 centres across Australia, New Zealand, and Hong Kong, where 332 participants completed the QoL analysis.
Journal ArticleDOI
Effect of Total Laparoscopic Hysterectomy vs Total Abdominal Hysterectomy on Disease-Free Survival Among Women With Stage I Endometrial Cancer: A Randomized Clinical Trial.
Monika Janda,Val Gebski,Lucy Davies,Peta M. Forder,Alison Brand,Russell Hogg,Tom Jobling,Russell Land,Tom Manolitsas,Marcelo Nascimento,Deborah Neesham,James L. Nicklin,Martin K. David Wrede,Selvan Pather,Bryony Simcock,Rhonda Farrell,Gregory Robertson,Graeme J. Walker,Nigel R Armfield,Nicholas Graves,Anthony J. McCartney,Andreas Obermair +34 more
TL;DR: Findings support the use of laparoscopic hysterectomy for women with stage I endometrioid endometrial cancer, and among women withStage Iendometrial Cancer, theUse of total abdominal hysteretomy compared with total laparoscopically-guided surgery resulted in equivalent disease-free survival at 4.5 years and no difference in overall survival.
Journal ArticleDOI
Malignant progression of anal intra‐epithelial neoplasia
TL;DR: This study reviews the experience with AIN, reviewing the incidence and risk factors for development of invasive malignancy and the outcome of present management strategies.
Journal ArticleDOI
Differences in growth properties of endometrial cancer in three dimensional (3D) culture and 2D cell monolayer.
TL;DR: 3D rBM as an in vitro model can influence proliferation and metabolism of endometrial cancer cell behaviour compared to 2D cell monolayer, and is important in the in vitro study of targeted anticancer therapies.
Journal ArticleDOI
The resistance of intracellular mediators to doxorubicin and cisplatin are distinct in 3D and 2D endometrial cancer
TL;DR: 3D multicellular structures exhibited greater resistance to the agents than 2D monolayers, and the differences between the culture formats were dependent on cancer cell lines, whereas the effects of anticancer drugs on the intracellular mediators were not similar in 3D and 2D cultures.
