Journal ArticleDOI
Long-term follow-up after prosthetic replacement of the superior vena cava combined with resection of mediastinal-pulmonary malignant tumors.
Philippe Dartevelle,Alain Chapelier,Ugo Pastorino,Pierre Corbi,B. Lenot,Jacques Cerrina,E. Bavoux,Jeanne M. Verley,Jean Yves Neveux,Arthur D. Boyd +9 more
TL;DR: Polytetrafluoroethylene graft replacement of the superior vena cava should be part of the planning and execution of radical excision with curative intent of mediastinal and right pulmonary malignant tumors that are not present with other contraindications, such as pleural or distant metastasis and severe systemic disease.
Journal ArticleDOI
Secretion of IL-6, IL-11 and LIF by human cardiomyocytes in primary culture.
Cecile Ancey,Pierre Corbi,Josy Froger,Adriana Delwail,John Wijdenes,Hugues Gascan,Daniel Potreau,Jean-Claude Lecron +7 more
TL;DR: This is the first demonstration that human cardiac cells are able to secrete IL-6, but also LIF and IL-11 in vitro, involved in an autocrine and/or a paracrine networks regulating myocardial cyto-protection, hypertrophy and fibrosis.
Journal ArticleDOI
Transient receptor potential canonical channel 6 links Ca2+ mishandling to cystic fibrosis transmembrane conductance regulator channel dysfunction in cystic fibrosis.
Fabrice Antigny,Caroline Norez,Luc Dannhoffer,J. Bertrand,Dorothée Raveau,Pierre Corbi,Christophe Jayle,Frédéric Becq,Clarisse Vandebrouck +8 more
TL;DR: Data indicate that TRPC6 and CFTR are functionally and reciprocally coupled within a molecular complex in airway epithelial human cells.
Journal ArticleDOI
Circulating soluble gp130, soluble IL-6R, and IL-6 in patients undergoing cardiac surgery, with or without extracorporeal circulation
Pierre Corbi,Mohammad Rahmati,Adriana Delwail,Daniel Potreau,Paul Menu,John Wijdenes,Jean-Claude Lecron +6 more
TL;DR: The increase of IL-6 after artery bypass grafting was similar between patients operated with CPB or without CPB, and it is suggested that the decrease of sgp130 sera levels could further enhance the inflammatory effects ofIL-6 in cardiac surgery.
Journal ArticleDOI
Sutureless versus conventional bioprostheses for aortic valve replacement in severe symptomatic aortic valve stenosis
Theodor Fischlein,Thierry Folliguet,Bart Meuris,Malakh Shrestha,Eric E. Roselli,Anna McGlothlin,Utz Kappert,Steffen Pfeiffer,Pierre Corbi,Roberto Lorusso,Olivier Fabre,Frédéric Pinaud,Giovanni Troise,Sami Kueri,Matthias Siepe,Nikolaos Bonaros,Erwin S.H. Tan,Martin Andreas,Julio García-Puente,Pierre Voisine,Filip Rega,Evaldas Girdauskas,Elisabet Berastegui,Thorsten Hanke,Suzanne Kats,Andrea Blasio,Claudio Muneretto,Alberto Repossini,Salvatore Tribastone,Laurent de Kerchove,Elisa Mikus,Marco Solinas,Manfredo Rambaldini,Sidney Chocron,Dina De Bock,Shaohua Wang,Martin Grabenwoeger,Ehud Raanani,Mattia Glauber,Gabriel Maluenda,Basel Ramlawi,Denis Bouchard,Douglas R. Johnston,Anno Diegeler,Daniel Bitran,Kevin Teoh,André Vincentelli,Jose Cuenca Castillo,Bernard Albat,Peter Oberwalder,Mahesh Ramchandani,David Heimansohn +51 more
TL;DR: Sutureless valves were noninferior to stented valves with respect to major adverse cerebral and cardiovascular events at 1 year in patients undergoing aortic valve replacement (alone or with coronary artery bypass grafting), which suggests that sutureless valve should be considered as part of a comprehensive valve program.
