Journal ArticleDOI

Genesis of iron carbides and their role in the synthesis of hydrocarbons from synthesis gas

TL;DR: A series of iron-based Fischer-Tropsch catalysts, either pure or promoted with Ce or Mn, were subjected to different activation treatments with H2, CO, or H2/CO as mentioned in this paper.
Journal ArticleDOI

Functionalization of mesoporous silica for lipase immobilization: Characterization of the support and the catalysts

TL;DR: In this paper, a support for enzyme immobilization was prepared by functionalization of mesoporous silica with octyltriethoxysilane, which enabled the adsorption of lipase from Candida antarctica B via strong hydrophobic interactions.
Journal ArticleDOI

Chemical Structures of Coprecipitated Fe−Ce Mixed Oxides

TL;DR: In this article, two series of Fe−Ce catalysts were prepared following two different methods: coprecipitation from Fe and Ce nitrate solutions and physical mixing of pure Fe precursors.
Journal ArticleDOI

Hydrogenation of carbon oxides over promoted Fe-Mn catalysts prepared by the microemulsion methodology

TL;DR: In this article, the microemulsion technology was used in order to improve the preparation of iron-based catalysts for the CO and CO2 hydrogenation reactions, which led to a sample with a higher surface area when compared with a similar solid prepared by conventional precipitation.
Journal ArticleDOI

Manganese-promoted Rh/Al2O3 for C2-oxygenates synthesis from syngas: Effect of manganese loading

TL;DR: In this article, the effect of manganese promoter loading on the catalytic properties of Rh/Al2O3 catalysts (Mn/Rh=0, 0.5, 1 and 2, atomic ratio) for the synthesis of oxygenated compounds from synthesis gas was investigated.
