Journal ArticleDOI
Basic properties of the mixed oxides obtained by thermal decomposition of hydrotalcites containing different metallic compositions
TL;DR: In this article, carbonated layered double hydroxides (LDHs) containing Al, Fe, or Cr in a Mg(OH)2 matrix were used as precursors of basic catalysts.
Journal ArticleDOI
Meerwein–Ponndorf–Verley reduction of carbonyl compounds catalysed by Mg–Al hydrotalcite
TL;DR: Properly activated Mg-Al hydrotalcite (Mg:Al = 3:1) is found to be a highly active, selective and regenerable heterogeneous catalyst for Meerwein-Ponndorf-Verley reduction of carbonyl compounds in the liquid phase.
Journal ArticleDOI
Liquid phase hydrogenation of cinnamaldehyde over supported ruthenium catalysts: Influence of particle size, bimetallics and nature of support
TL;DR: In this article, the influence of particle size, bimetallic formulation and nature of support on activity and selectivity to the desired product, cinnamyl alcohol, was investigated.
Journal ArticleDOI
Reduction of aromatic nitro compounds with hydrazine hydrate in the presence of the iron(III) oxide-MgO catalyst prepared from a MgFe hydrotalcite precursor
TL;DR: In this paper, an iron(III) oxide-MgO catalyst prepared from a MgFe hydrotalcite precursor shows high activity and selectivity for reduction of aromatic nitro compounds under mild reaction conditions.
