Differences in structure and property of carbon paper and carbon cloth diffusion media and their impact on proton exchange membrane fuel cell flow field design
TL;DR: In this article, the impact of the difference in structure and properties of the diffusion media used, on the design of the PEM fuel cell flow field was investigated, and the results indicated that the intrusion of carbon cloth into the channel, constraints the channel width in a flow field design if it were to be used with a carbon cloth GDM as opposed to a carbon paper GDM.
Journal ArticleDOI
High yield formation of carbon nanotubes using a rotating cathode in open air
TL;DR: In this article, it is proposed that rotation of the cathode drags plasma formed between two electrodes away from high temperature region, which results in a sudden quenching of the reactive plasma.
Journal ArticleDOI
Novel nano-cocoon like structures of polyethylene glycol–multiwalled carbon nanotubes for biomedical applications
TL;DR: These nano-cocoons are hemo-compatible, non-toxic to mice fibroblast cell lines (L929), have great potential to be used as nano biomaterials and they could be loaded with naturally anti-cancerous drug curcumin.

Hydrophilic anode gas diffusion layer
Prathap Haridoss,Chockkalingam Karuppaiah,James F. McElroy,Jeffrey R. Boyer,Eric G. Budesheim +4 more
TL;DR: In this paper, an anode gas diffusion layer for a fuel cell and methods for preparation and use of it are presented, in particular, a hydrophilic anode Gas diffusion layer promotes water transfer through the fuel cell.
Journal ArticleDOI
Optical properties of zinc oxide nanocrystals embedded in mesoporous silica
TL;DR: In this paper, the synthesis and characterization of a nanocomposite incorporating zinc oxide (ZnO) in mesoporous silica (MPS), a host medium for stabilizing the nanoparticles, is reported.
