Journal ArticleDOI

A facile electrochemical approach for development of highly corrosion protective coatings using graphene nanosheets

TL;DR: In this article, a facile electrochemical approach for deposition of graphene nanosheets on copper substrate was demonstrated and the corrosion activity of graphene coating over bare copper counterpart was investigated with potentiodynamic polarization and electrochemical impedance spectroscopy (EIS) techniques.
Journal ArticleDOI

Titania/hydroxyapatite bi-layer coating on Ti metal by electrophoretic deposition: Characterization and corrosion studies

TL;DR: Titania-hydroxyapatite (HAp) bi-layer coating on Ti metal substrate with improved adhesion strength is fabricated by a simple two-step processes: electrodeposition of Ti sol and electrophoretic deposition of HAp powder, followed by heat treatment at 800°C as discussed by the authors.
Journal ArticleDOI

Exceptional catalytic performance of ultrafine Cu 2 O nanoparticles confined in cubic mesoporous carbon for 4-nitrophenol reduction

TL;DR: In this article, different types of Cu-based nanoparticles, namely Cu 2 O, Cu and CuO were homogeneously dispersed on cubic ordered mesoporous carbon CMK-8 and their performances for catalytic reduction of 4-nitrophenol (4-NP) were comparatively studied.
Journal ArticleDOI

Highly enhanced electrochemical performance of ultrafine CuO nanoparticles confined in ordered mesoporous carbons as anode materials for sodium-ion batteries

TL;DR: In this paper, two ordered mesoporous carbons (OMCs) with different pore architectures, namely, CMK-8 with a 3D cubic mesostructure and CMK 3 with a 2D hexagonal mesostructured pore structure, were used as anodes in sodium-ion batteries.
Journal ArticleDOI

Supercritical CO2-Assisted SiOx/Carbon Multi-Layer Coating on Si Anode for Lithium-Ion Batteries

TL;DR: In this paper, the supercritical CO2 (SCCO2) is applied to create a SiOx/carbon multi-layer coating on Si particles, which can buffer Si volume change during lithiation/delithiation and a conformal carbon film is deposited around the Si@SiOx core.
