Unsteady aerodynamic modeling at high angles of attack using support vector machines

TL;DR: The work presented here examines the feasibility of applying SVMs to high angle-of-attack unsteady aerodynamic modeling field and concludes that the least squares SVM models are in good agreement with the test data, which indicates the satisfying learning and generalization performance of LS-SVMs.
Journal ArticleDOI

Aerodynamic Modeling and Parameter Estimation from QAR Data of an Airplane Approaching a High-altitude Airport

TL;DR: In this article, the effects of highland weather conditions upon aerodynamic characteristics of an airplane were analyzed using a quick accesses recorder (QAR) data, and several measures to improve the estimation accuracy were proposed, including the extended Kalman filter associated with modified Bryson-Frazier smoother (EKF-MBF) method, the radial basis function (RBF) neural network method for aerodynamic modeling, and the Delta method for stability/control derivative estimation.
Journal ArticleDOI

Unsteady aerodynamics modeling for flight dynamics application

TL;DR: In this paper, the flight dynamics of an aircraft are studied by the bifurcation analysis technique in the case of quasi-steady aerodynamics and unsteady aerodynamic, respectively.
